The lamp within
The lamp within
Dear Reader,
Knowing the right thing to do can be the hardest part of life. For if at all we knew, we would not suffer the consequences of our wrong decisions, actions, and judgements.
Very few of us realise that it is our inner motivation that determines the end result of our actions. And unless we are motivated by our highest Self, we cannot ensure the best outcome for ourselves. But since our highest Self is mostly shrouded in layers of baser instincts such as fear, greed, lust, envy, and pride, or conditioning of the do’s and don’ts, acceptable and unacceptable, ingrained in us by society, we fail to see the picture clearly, which is necessary to do the right thing.
How great it would be to have someone who could guide us through this laybrinth? Someone who could hold our hand and lead us to our destination, saving us from falling into the pits and trenches of our ignorance.
The lead story for May focuses on the process of finding the right guide to help us in our journey of life. Author Prawesh Singh has
poured his heart out in this article, and I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I did.
We have another wonderful article on the power of OM chanting, and how it accelerates our spiritual growth if done under right guidance and supervision.
Isn’t it amazing that the things that lead us to our true self are the simplest and easiest?
We also have an article on healing from trauma. So, if you or any of your near ones suffer from it, know that it is possible to overcome it. You just have to be a little kinder to yourself.
Have a wonderful May!
