The third eye

It’s all in your brain,” says NK Sharma who held a two-day mid-brain activation workshop in Mumbai recently to equip participants with tools to activate the third eye.

The idea that the sixth sense or ESP is either inborn or the result of processes that are beyond normal human understanding is a common one. The two-day Mind Magic (Third Eye Activation) workshop held in Mumbai by Mr. N K Sharma, a reiki teacher and teacher of mental expansion techniques, aimed to dispel this long-held belief and train people in expanding their mental capabilities to make Extra Sensory Perceptions accessible to all.

While most Mind Magic workshops are for children, this one was for adults. Apart from healers, corporate trainers, businessmen and professionals of both genders, there were several retired people too who were eager to learn the secrets of third-eye activation. Mr. Sharma taught several techniques involving bodily movements that were difficult if a person is not practised. One exercise involved making mopping motion with one hand and a hammering motion with the other simultaneously, and then changing hands. The exercises aimed to use movements connected to the part of brain they were controlled by, to make the brain more agile, flexible and coordinated. A sort of shaking the cart to shake the horse. Very few got them right in the short duration of the exercise.

Then there were cards with pictures, images and numbers on them and participants were asked to guess what was on the card they held. A surprising number of people were getting the images right while blindfolded, and quite a few reached an approximation of the right answer. At the end of the two days, all participants appeared to be on the brink of something momentous as the ability to intuit clearly seemed to grow on them. “These are exercises,” explained Mr. Sharma, “they work but one needs practice because it takes some doing to trust one’s feelings. Kids learn at amazing speed but adults take time. It requires trusting yourself and giving it a few minutes every day. Once the ability to see a situation through the intuitive mind becomes a habit, it can be used in one’s professional, personal and social life.”

A workshop that promises mental super powers provided you practice regularly. Think about it!
