The world of Jiva

Jiva Ayurveda is a name to reckon with in the vast and exhaustive field of ayurveda. Its Founder, Dr Partap Chauhan, a pioneer of ayurvedic Telemedicine, has been awarded with several national and international accolades for his unmatched contribution in making ayurveda accessible to all.

Dr Chauhan, who studied ayurveda both in University as well as under an authentic guru, started Jiva with a single-minded mission of taking ayurveda to every home. Today, thanks to his various initiatives – programmes, workshops, TV shows, and lectures – this ancient Indian modality has found a number of takers not only in this land but also in countries like USA, UK, France, Poland, Japan, Lithuania, Mexico and South Korea. He visited more than 50 countries in order to teach ayurveda to students and the general masses. Jiva ayurveda runs courses for general public in many countries. He is a member of various national and international health associations.

Dr Chauhan’s telemedicine project – TeleDoc – won him the UN World Summit Award 2003. He was also awarded the Best Ayurvedic Physician Award by Hakim Ajmal Khan Society and was invited to meet with former President of India, Late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. He has also been awarded the Charaka Award for Excellence in Ayurvedic Teaching (International Category) by Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America, one of the most prestigious institutions in the world.

He started the first ayurvedic clinic in Faridabad, Haryana, in the year 1992 which later as Jiva Ayurveda went on to garner unmatched acclaim. HisTelemedicine Centre in Faridabad, employs a team of 150 doctors who give consultations to an average of 5,000 patients per day. Over the years, Jiva has set up about 50 clinics in different states of India. Jiva’s ayurvedic clinics and panchakarma centers pave the way for a future of health and wellness. These centres offer personalised consultations, and are well equipped to provide a range of ayurvedic treatments to help people stay healthy, and seek a permanent and effective cure against chronic and difficult diseases.

Dr Partap Chauhan has a very popular, widely distributed book, Eternal Health–The Essence of Ayurveda, to his credit which has been translated into French, Hungarian, Croatian, Lithuanian and Polish. In his efforts to bring ayurveda into every home, Dr Partap Chauhan created a TV show, Eternal Health, on the basic principles of ayurveda. His TV show, which provides simple home remedies to prevent and cure common diseases, has helped millions of people in India and abroad.

At present, Jiva is working to establish ayurveda’s scientific base. A research team consisting of scientists, data analysts and ayurvedic doctors is consistently working to improve treatment protocols to make ayurveda a mainstream medical system. Dr Chauhan has also established Jiva Ayurvedic Pharmacy, where hundreds of classical and proprietary medicines are manufactured using authentic classical methods.

Jivagram is an ambitious venture planned to bring together all the components of ayurveda under one big umbrella. It is a futuristic village that will encompass Jiva University, Jiva College of Vedic Sciences, Jiva College of Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, and Jiva Wellness Center.
