All is One
Staying connected to the Source helps Megha Bajaj nurture her relationships and flow with Life
Have you ever had an experience where you are thinking of someone, and out of the blue, they call? Or where you are feeling discomfort about someone, and you to know your ‘feeling’ was bang on? And, has it happened that even without knowing someone, you feel your heart expand in love and bliss for them—almost as though you are ‘connected’?
Though we understand it as ‘intuition’ or ‘just a gut feeling,’ I have come to realise it is a lot deeper. It is interconnectedness. Everything we see and all that we don’t, though it appears so different, is interconnected.
I remember this beautiful moment with my guru, Mahatria, when I was in a spiritual retreat, feeling so one, with everything, that I actually could not tell where I began and where another ended. It felt like all the forms were just waves on the surface of the ocean, but within, they were all made up of the same stuff—all connected. Suddenly, as if He could understand all my thoughts, He looked deeply into my eyes and said, “All our differences are on the surface. Within, we are connected. Imagine two banks of the river and the river flowing in between. There could be mango trees lining one side and guavas on the other. The river could be dividing two countries! And yet, at the depth of the river, there are no two. The banks merge, they dissolve, they are one. And so it is with you and me!”
I closely observed the ten to eleven people around me. Some connected to me by blood, others by choice, and some by love. Each of them matters deeply to me, and they form my ‘inner circle.’
I started realising some awe-inspiring things: When one among this group was low, it impacted all of us in some way or the other. When one among us was deeply rooted in faith, it helped others find the faith too, even in the most difficult situations. When one was flowing in love, for no reason, it rubbed off onto the others, and everyone felt that glow of love. In short, everything that one experienced, everyone did. Sometimes consciously, often subconsciously. It was almost miraculous to watch the interconnectedness.
And that’s when I had my breakthrough. I realised that while I am connected to all these relationships, I am also connected to The Source. It’s that purest source of energy. Of love, of peace, of infinite potential.
The very nature of this perennial flow is goodness, and staying aligned helps me to keep flowing with it. The ups and downs I went through in relationships started reducing drastically as I kept my connectivity to the Highest through meditation, faith, and love. Moreover, my connection with It was not just helping me but also all those around me because the more I was rooted, the more they kept finding their anchor.
I believe life is one unimaginable miracle and no matter how much we know, it is just a speck of what remains to be known. It’s magnificent. Beautiful. Breath-taking. As one law at a time reveals itself to me, I find myself in a state of wonder, wanting more. For now, the best thing I can do for all the people I love and the world at large is to stay connected to the Source. It replenishes me and everyone else along with me. It opens a world of possibilities—for me and through me. Interconnectedness. The Truth of all our lives. How are you using it?
