The Seven Mystical Laws of Self Healing, Author: Sanjiv Ranjan, Published By: Life Positive Publications, Pages : 228Pages, Paperback, Price : INR 225
Deepak Chopra’s fondness for the number seven is evident in the themes he chooses for some of his books (The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success for example), and here we have a similar title from Sanjiv Ranjan – this one being a collection of seven ‘laws’ related to the mysteries of self-healing. The essence of these ‘mystical’ laws can be stated in one sentence – allowing natural healing to happen naturally. To arrive there, however, Ranjan takes us through an advisory course in appreciating why so-called diseases and their supposed modern treatments actually often have the opposite effect of disrupting the natural healing process – thereby driving us into an abject state of dependency and despair. It is our ‘unnatural’ fear and culturally implanted resistance to disease that paradoxically helps these conditions to flourish. Ranjan suggests surrendering instead: “So whenever you encounter any disease that involves a pathogen, communicate with it. Send it your love. Accept it lovingly, talk to it. Ask for its blessings. Tune in to its divinity. You will be surprised at the course the illness takes. It will leave you feeling more beautiful, more enriched, more alive.”
Ranjan notes that these ‘laws’ – and the accompanying prayers and meditations – are to be treated as “missing links which can complement mainstream medicine and procedures, so as to augment a permanent cure,” and are not to be taken as an invitation to “stop using any medication or procedure that you are currently going through.” So what do the laws help us discover? Briefly, they are truths that we are often faintly aware of but have not got in touch with because of our mental conditioning and the confusion caused by modern systems of ‘treatment’. Diseases are a state of mind and their physical progress is closely linked to our mental and emotional conditioning. Our bodies are capable of self-repair and regeneration. Love and positive energy can promote healing miraculously. Our bodies have a natural rhythm that we can tune into if only we allow ourselves to be aware of it. Beliefs, thoughts and feelings directly influence our bodily functions. Faith tips the balance in favour of healing. And there is an ‘inner child’ crying out for healing that is the source of all deep illnesses.
Ranjan reminds us that these simple principles are accessible only if we are willing to open our hearts to the mystic and spiritual nature of our bodies – and if we are prepared to shed the multiple layers of conditioning that we have acquired over the years.
