Healing hues

The first thing everyone here must know is that we can all heal and heal others. All one needs is the desire to heal and serve, ” said Mr Ajay Misra at the beginning of his workshop on healing with colours organised by Life Positive.
Colour, he said, was a tool that did what acupuncture does with needles. Colours emit light that penetrate the skin and directly affects the acu points, either energising the points that require more energy, or sedating the points that require less energy. The colour that is to be applied and the position where it should be applied was what the workshop comprised of.
Like many others, Mr Mishra became a healer after he was exposed firsthand to the challenge of pain and suffering. His mother suffered severe abdominal pain for three years every winter from 1992. She used to first go to the Railway Hospital, Allahabad, and then to AIIMS, and come back to Allahabad at the end of winter. This became a pattern in their family’s life. At that point, their tenant told him about an institute called the Acupressure Research, Training and Treatment Sansthan at Allahabad. After taking his mother there, she was mercifully healed. Inspired, Misra launched himself into his mission of learning all that he could about healing therapies in order to alleviate suffering. Since then, he has been treating, healing and teaching many people, including allopathic doctors.
A senior cardiologist in Delhi, Dr. Sudheer Oswal, was relieved of a debilitating back pain and now recommends many patients to him. A dietician in AIIMS, Dr Vasundhara, saw her three-year-old hyperactive nephew become much better in just a few hours. Regular colour therapy healed him fully in just a few months. One of the participants in the workshop, Charoo Chopra, told me that her sister-in-law , Mrs Arpana Rawal, a lecturer in Bhilai, had learnt from him earlier and had used the therapy on her students with wonderful results. “Acupuncture works but is inconvenient because of the need to travel to the treatment place, while colour therapy works for 24 hours by a simple application of colours on specific points on the meridian,” he said, encouraging everyone to learn it.
In the second day of the workshop itself, participant Chitra Vashisht’s acidity had become much better, many people’s digestion and sleep had improved, and some had even started using it on others the very same day.
