Life Positive

Power of Thoughts is an experiential guide written by Tarit Kumar Pal, a freelance consultant and a retired executive director from SAIL. Covering topics like decision-making, goal-setting, attitudinal conditioning and so on, it explores the many concerns people face in the course of their work life. It stresses upon the significance of thought energy, through the use of a number of practical techniques to manifest a life full of confidence and positivity. ‘Life is full of choices’, the tagline, forms the undercurrent of this first-person account by Pal.

His experiences of meeting positive and inspirational people, his articulation of his own beliefs, and the perseverance that helped him tide over the failures are interestingly conveyed.

Pal kindles the imagination by using a string of anecdotes to prove his points. His simple style and lack of pretension endear him to the reader. However, written essentially for corporate audience, there are many technical terms that might baffle a reader. Fortunately, a technical glossary has been provided at the end of the book. All in all, Power of Thoughts is a decent enough addition to the self-help basket of Pustak Mahal.
