Letter of the month

May I help you?

Suma Varughese’s column in the January 2016 issue, Giving, not getting, moved me. I cannot bear to think of this magazine shutting down. Guide me. I am with you. How can I publicise this magazine? Let me know.

New vistas

The cover story, Find your calling, by Shivi Verma in the January 2016 edition of Life Positive was very well written. For youngsters with limited career options she has suggested better options for leading a fruitful life. Though today’s youth possess degrees, they are mentally directionless, running after money without knowing the value of human life. They can really peep through this beautiful article to learn ways to live peacefully and contribute creatively. .

An excellent issue

The January 2016 issue of Life Positive is a welcome movement into covering trends and ground reality. In the lead story, Find your Calling I was greatly impressed by Naini Setalvad’s weight loss story. We learn that she scaled down by 100 kgs after taking many difficult steps, including the right diet. Naini’s is the first article I read on opening Life Positive. At 73, I have benefitted greatly from her advice.

In the article, A perfect 20, revered Dada Vaswani concludes his article by saying “Life Positive will surely help you make the right choice” and I couldn’t agree more . Punya Srivastava’s Back to the future, Raji Menen’s Happiness is a place, Life of a Clarivoyant by Anupreet Bahl were all eminently readable articles which greatly benefitted the reader.

New Age marketing

Apropos Suma Varughese’s column, Giving, not Getting, in the January 2016 issue of Life Positive, I feel it illustrates the law of Attraction. The more we function through need, the more we stay in that mode. The moment you realise that you have something “to give”, which Life Positive does, you shift to the “I have” mode and you get back more than you wished for. It also answers the consumer’s question, “What am I getting?” The discounts and freebies which come with offers are what lure them, not the price of the product. Thanks for sharing your experiences in marketing, something I have failed in myself.

Key learnings

The article, Farming, not fishing, by Bhaavin Shah in the January 2016 issue of Life Positive had some key learnings. I feel that 21st century marketing is achievable only on the principle of delivering more than promised.
