The road to mysticism
March 2017
“How does one become a mystic?” the disciple asked.
“Ah!” exclaimed the Master. “There are no rules. It is a disposition.”
“Please tell me more.”
“When you yearn for something different from what the world knows and teaches; when you become more compassionate; when you are able to reconcile opposites such as right and wrong, and are slow to condemn; when your sense of wonder is aroused to behold nature with divine eyes; when you let go of your ego to see God in all and you in God. That’s the moment of inner awakening.”
