The Sujok touch

The Sujok touch

January 2015

Since the last two years as the days shortened, leaves began to drop off trees, and windcheaters and shawls began to make an appearance, 15-year-old Shivam Dutta would rev up into a fever of apprehension. Winter meant that his toes would swell up and subject him to unbearable pain. Fortunately, this winter, Shivam is looking forward fearlessly to his winter treats of carrot halwa, makki ki roti and sarson ka saag. And all because he met magnet therapist  Suresh Chawla, who, in one short week, consigned his discomfort to oblivion.

Similarly, 52-year-old Savita Gupta too has experienced much relief under Chawla’s expert administration. She suffered from the dreaded trigeminal neuralgia, a condition so painful that many victims choose to commit suicide. She could barely eat or drink, and could not even tolerate the touch of air on her face. Her misery continued until colleagues coerced her to meet Suresh Chawla, who happened to work in the same organization. Within three weeks her condition improved, and there is hope that she will be completely cured.

As in most cases, Suresh Chawla became a healer after seeing the positive results of sujok acupressure therapy himself. His wife, who suffered from slip disc, could not got relief from either allopathic, ayurvedic, unani, homeopathy or other treatments. However,  acupressure therapy came to the rescue. Inspired to serve humanity, the couple decided to learn the therapy and eventually learnt sujok acupressure which employs tiny magnets. Says Suresh, “Acupuncture uses needles to balance the flow of energy, whereas in sujok acupressure small magnets are tied at specific points. They do not restrict movement and can act longer than plain acupressure. Therefore I give preference to it.”

Their mission in life is to promote acupressure and sujok acupressure therapy as a cure for all ailments. The time for self-healing is drawing near.
