Development of different generations indicates the growth and development of any nation. India is a developing country and inorder to convert India into a developed one many people have played their appropriate role. This even comprises of women who in different fields have not only highlighted the names of their country but also the name of the whole women community on this earth.

Not sticking to the saying and facing the facts,it has been proved that women have not only remained stuck to the four walls of the kitchen but have rather entered the fields of the modern world,in which they are not only competing men but have rather traversed a step forward in comparision to them. But this image seems to last for short duration only as in todays present scenario women have to face large number of inhumane activities.Women since ages have always been a part of  harassments, molestations, rapes etc. Since we are discussing about the welfare of all women ,so indeed their must be some sort of  measures which could prevent women from all these harassments.

With passage of time and increase in number of harassments and women foeticides, even the govt. woke up and took some measures for the prevention of women in society. Todays present scenario of the country is completely a deteriorated one,as large number of rape cases have taken place in the country.According to recent survey a devastated number of around 1,01,041 rapes have taken place out of which 3,563 cases were convicted,86,032 cases are still pending and 11,446 cases have been withdrawn due to fear and insecurity.

Its very sad to comment that the law system of India has completely undergone crisis because even if in todays  date any rape case or any molestation occurs, none of the cases are registered by the police and if by fault if its registered, then the criminals are set free by the court.Sometimes due to lack of evidence or sometimes due to feeling of fear and insecurity. Its been a while that these rape cases have been taking place in India but none of the preventive measures have yet been opted by anyone to prevent it.

As each and everyone of us is aware that the constitution of India is for the people, of the people and by the people. The complete scenario changed at a point when the Nirbhaya rape case took place in which the young lady was raped brutally by six men. This case united all the people of the country led a movement against it. Even due to so much of hard work out of six only four culprits were hanged till death, one was sent to rehabilitation center and the other one committed suicide. In accordance to me the real and actual cause of rape in India is

ILLITERACY .

Out of the number of mentioned cases maximum were illetrate. After the Nirbhaya  rape case  GOVT. took  this issue  as a serious one and amended the earlier laws such as SECTION -376(for rape),SECTION-509(sexual harassment),SECTION -354(molestation) and many more. In todays date rather than the government the police officers act as culprits to a much greater extent.Whenever any rape case takes place no FIR (FIRST INFORMATION REPORT) is lodged by the police officers due to fear of life or bribery in form of money assets.etc. But after the NIRBHAYA case many amendments have been made in the law of the constitution India such as  not filing FIR is a crime and if the police officers denies to lodge it then that police officer can suffer an imprisonment of  two years. Apart from GOVT. different commissions like DELHI COMMISSION OF INDIA and many NGO’s (NON GOVERNMENT ORGANISATIONS) like the MAHILA MANDAL have played a vital role in providing  justice to a large number women who have been a victim of rapes, molestations and violence.

In nutshell, it can be said that inorder to make India a developed country,it is necessary to prevent women from all these molestation and increase level of literacy in India, so that all these  individuals can become the rising stars of  the coming generations.
