Even as things are falling apart in the material world, many agencies and individuals are working overtime to ensure a smooth shift into the New Age, come 2012.

One such initiative is the Global Congress for Spiritual Scientists, organised jointly by Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement, India, founded by Brahmarishi Subhash Patri and Life Research Academy founded by Dr Newton Kondaveti. The event brings together well-known names in New Age circles such as Raymond Moody, an expert in the Near-Death Experience, Rev Alex Orbito, the well-known psychic surgeon from the Philippines and Jasmuheen, known for her ability to live on prana energy. There are other names too, each of who will be holding a one-day workshop. Additionally, there will an exhibition area and daily panel discussions. The objective of the Congress is to be a catalyst in spiritualizing the emerging world by the year 2012. The event will be held at Pyramid Valley, Bangalore, the zone of the world's largest meditation pyramid during December 25 to 31.
