Life Positive has transformed me over a period of years. Its thought-provoking features and articles have made me ponder over the subtle aspects of the reality of life.
I find myself making vital enquiries as to who I am, where I have come from, where I shall be going back, and what is my relationship with the cosmos.
I am curious to grasp the essence of human life.
I now live in an attitude of gratitude, and count His blessings in every moment of my life. I have realised through the spiritual teachings reflected in Life Positive that we should aspire for the divine love, a love that is ideal. The purpose of life is to flower and bloom in that ideal love. That love encompasses the whole universe – for God resides in everyone – the animate as well as inanimate. So, I lead a life of total non-violence in my behaviour as well as food habits. To get in touch with Him, prayer is a vital tool. Its power is unlimited, and should be harnessed.
Often, our attitudes and reactions are faulty. We all have a covering of ego all around us like a shell. To uncover it, I have taken to practices such as yoga, meditation, and synchronised breathing and experienced immense relief.
Of late, I have made modest attempts at programming self-mastery. I now consciously try not to be upset by the little things of daily life, and make everyday life my spiritual practice. Trivial matters no longer agitate me, as I do not allow them the power to unnerve me. I know now those problems on the job, challenges, betrayals, and illnesses are the acid tests of my spiritual quotient.
I treat my mind like an elastic band, stretching it each time I confront limitations and affirm to myself “This too shall pass… I am a part of the infinite…. I am blessed.” I often remind myself of the teaching of Swami Paramhansa Yogananda, “The real voyage of life consists not in seeing new lands but seeing with new eyes.”
Life to me is a joyous battle of duty and a passing dream. It is chiefly service. That is its real goal.
Like the bright rays of the sun, one must nurture all – the poor, the forsaken, and kindle new strength in the weak, with an unconditional love. As stated by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, “Maintaining innocence in spite of intelligence is wisdom and enlightenment.”
I consciously make my smiles cheaper, and my anger expensive, forgiving my friends and enemies. Developing a sense of humour, empathy and compassion, has contributed in strengthening my relationship in my personal and professional life. Believing in the dignity of labour, I try to give cent per cent to whatever I do.
Everyday spirituality has thus become the guiding force of my lifestyle. LP has beautifully led me to the sublime path of introspection, service, surrender, and Divine love. I positively feel more empowered, enriched and fulfilled. Thanks, Life Positive.
