Life Positive Testimonials

Wonderful information about good samaritans
I really liked the article on Dr Shetty and his yeoman service in helping people resolve all their issues related to the eye. This article showed me most issues related to the eye can be managed and as this is a preventable issue, we need to at least guide others, especially the underprivileged, to take proper care of their eyes or direct them to people like Dr Shetty who shall do the needful. This is the best way we can remain good citizens and good human beings in this world. Thank you Life Positive for informing us about such individuals.

Enjoying the e-mag
When Life Positive closed the publication of the physical magazine I was hugely disappointed. However, such is my fascination for its content that I tried reading the e-magazine which I found quite difficult, considering my age. I am 72. However, my predicament was resolved when the editor made all the articles, audio-enabled. So now, even though I cannot read the magazine on my mobile, I can listen to them and enjoy them as before. My request is to please see if the accent of the voice could be Indianised. I find it difficult to follow the American accent in the English language.

The genius of Ajay Kalra
A regular reader of Life Positive, I have become a fan of Ajay Kalra who writes every month for the magazine. His insights, deeply reflective pieces, and commendable grasp on the subtle nuances of life make him a seeker, coach, and writer par excellence. The more I read him the more I am able to catch my mind deceiving itself into believing or doing something out of ego, defensiveness, or selfishness. This awareness helps me get in touch with my soul, which is the seat of pure consciousness. It’s rare to find someone sharing his life with the world with so much honesty and transparency. May he guide more and more people with his wisdom and realisations .

Helping those who need help
We often don’t realise how the uneducated do not know where to go for help and how to avail of it. In the cover story of Life Positive’s December 2022 issue, I was happy to see how Ms Sona Kumar and her NGO extended help to those who needed it. By doing so, they not just earned a lot of good karma but established themselves as conscious and humane citizens. I certainly feel we would be a better nation if we all did the same in the journey of our lives to the maximum extent possible. This would result in an India that shows the path to others.
-Manoj Tripathi, Mumbai
A lovely ode to Sri Ramanuja
As a South Indian, I have always felt that Sri Ramanujam and his journey needed to be known to all to convey how spirituality and bhakti are the greatest unifiers of all. While most of us are aware of Kabir, the Sikh Gurus, the Buddha, and Mahaveer, very few are aware of the South Indian saints. I am glad that Life Positive has written about this great seer and even about his modern followers. I am surely going to go to his temples and follow his principles of bhakti to the maximum extent possible while also sharing his journey with my friends.

Answer to my queries
I always used to wonder how I could contribute in my own way to the world as I am just a housewife. I received the answer in the last issue of the magazine almost serendipitously. The cover story Intent and Karma in the December 2022 issue of Life Positive issue showed me how all our thoughts are indeed important and we can create a better world with just our thoughts which then become intentions. The people showcased also show us how the universe responds to such thoughts and genuine intent. This does show us the Divine is always listening to us all the time.

Repeaing benefits from tribal wisdom
Apropos of the article Women’s Empowerment  Comes To The Forest in the December 2022 issue  of Life Positive it was wonderful to read about  Ms Manju Vasudevan who is working with  indigenous people to help them move forward  using their knowledge and skills in the right  manner. It is indeed people like her who make  forest-dependent communities harvest a range  of wild resources and products. There is a lot  of confusion about employing the knowledge  possessed by forest dwellers.  Tribals are specifically gifted in this area.  We need to contribute to the income of fores  communities and we definitely need more such  people in our country. Kudos to Life Positive for  writing about this initiative.  -Sheela Rajendra, Mumbai

Making the most of your money
Shivi Verma’s article, Money and Relationships, in the January 2023 issue was really thought-provoking. It is true that many relationships are impeded by money concerns at all stages of their existence. According to the author, when money enters into a relationship, the situation becomes either fragile or volatile if not managed properly. She emphasises the reality that even blood relationships are influenced by financial reasons. I liked her practical advice on how to spend money wisely to get both peace of mind and good karma. This is only possible by striking a balance between its use to aid those in need and its use for our own purposes.

Soulful solace
The article by Megha Bajaj, Soul-O-Trip, in the January 2023 issue of Life Positive was great. She brings out how we need to access the inner strength that is always with us to have such spiritual trips. Her sharing the loss of her mother, with positive memories of her, made me feel how any event depends upon how we look at it. She was able to make even this event a beautiful one by remembering only the wonderful moments they had shared. This insight—to not grieve but bring peace to ourselves by knowing that the departed soul is always with us—is something I shared with everyone.

Great cover story
The cover article, Messages from the Body Temple, in the January 2023 issue taught me a lot. When I was stressed, I used to have a lot of health problems. This article points to the need for listening to our bodies to determine what is good for us and what is harmful to us. It certainly speaks to me since it shows the connection between the body, mind, and spirit.I believe that we should be taught more about consciousness, even in schools. This would possibly result in a higher level of happiness for everyone.
-Shivani Thakur. Mumbai
New year resolution
I really loved the cover story, Messages From The Body Temple, in the January 2023 issue of Life Positive. This article shows us the power of our mind through many examples and also gives us the insight that we need to pay attention to ourselves for better wellness and well-being. Many masters have emphasised the importance of being attentive to ourselves since time immemorial. One of my resolutions for the new year is to listen to myself in the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual domains due to this wonderful article. I think this article will have a similar impact on others too. It truly espouses all that Life Positive stands for.

Probing bipolar disorder
When we can understand physical health issues, why can’t we do so for mental issues? I have a friend who is suffering from bipolar disorder, and nobody understands her plight. The article, Bipolar Disorder: The Inner Story, by Marita Nazareth in the March 2023 issue of Life Positive was very insightful, and I look forward to the next part on this oft-neglected subject. A greater understanding of bipolar disorder will follow as a result of greater awareness of the topic. Life Positive is to be commended for publishing this much-needed article. -Chanda Singh, Mumbai stand physical health issues, why can’t we do so for mental issues? Recipe for marriage
In India, marriages usually involve the joining of two families, not just the man and the woman. Finding the ideal mate is really challenging because of this. Navni Chawla, in her article, Recipe for the Right Partner, in the March 2023 issue of Life Positive has discussed a number of things that we should consider in addition to selecting a companion. This will undoubtedly be helpful to many individuals. I have, therefore, told my friends who frequently ask me to help them find matches for their friends and family members to read this article. There is much we can learn from this fantastic piece.

Strength from running
He cover article, Run For Your Life, in the March 2023 issue of the magazine brought to mind Forrest Gump, one of my favourite movies, as well as the strength of running. In my experience, going for a run helps me feel better whenever I’m stressed. I had no idea that this was related to spiritual growth as well, and it’s something that this article so masterfully highlights. Because this piece has highlighted all the advantages of running, I now intend to do it regularly rather than only when I’m stressed. We appreciate this fantastic article from Life Positive and Rishi Rathod.

Running
April 2023 Response Make running a healthy routine It was great reading the lead story, Run for Your Life, in the March 2023 issue of Life Positive, which elucidates both the physical and spiritual benefits of running. I gained a lot of knowledge about running customs and traditions from around the world and felt motivated to attempt to run at least once each week. My mood has improved significantly as a result, and I now understand the reason. I will definitely include more of running in my life, now that I am aware of its spiritual advantages. In my opinion we should all include jogging in our lives rather than visit gyms or shop for expensive exercise plans. -Sampat Gopal, Chennai

Handing life
Sujatha Rao has shown us very beautifully in her article in the April issue of Life Positive how to handle our lives, keeping both food and fitness in balance. She has made us understand how we need to prioritise the important aspects of our lives and give enough time and energy to these to ensure we remain healthy in all areas. She shows us that lifestyle diseases can be managed by taking our lifestyle more seriously, which is why they are called lifestyle diseases. As she says, it’s all about input and output in the right manner

Balancing health and wealth
The Ins and Outs of a Well-thy Lifestyle, written by Sujatha Rao, in the April issue of Life Positive, was truly an inspirational piece. We as individuals have to make our own rules to keep ourselves healthy as well as wealthy. Without discipline, one cannot maintain a balance between these two aspects. The writer has shown us precisely how to achieve this. Hats off to her!

Script your destiny
I refer to a very good article by Shivi Verma titled The Fault in Our Stars, which appeared in the February 2023 issue of Life Positive. Our prarabdha karma is located as an energy field in our karan sharir (causal body). Planets act as activators and energisers so that this prarabdha karma fructifies. They are the karm phal data —givers of the fruits of our actions. Hence astrologers can predict the future and also describe our past life. However, planets do not prevent us from carrying out fresh karma in the present. This is called kriyaman karma. With this, we can (to some extent) eliminate the bad effects of planets as well as find new ways and avenues for ourselves. There is a power that is over and above the planets. Firm devotees, worshippers of gods such as Mahadev, Krishna, and Durga, as well as devotees of great saints and yogis, find relief from the energy field of bad karma. These energy fields and vibrations are nullified or diverted. In some cases, these are transferred to the next birth. In other cases, great and advanced yogis take them upon themselves and suffer so that their devotees can continue to tread the spiritual path. Ultimately, it is we who are responsible and not the planets. Life is a unique combination of prarabdha and purushartha. A S Dandekar, Mumbai

The limitations of AI
I refer to an excellent article by Suma Varughese, Man Must Triumph over Machine, in the March 2023 Life Positive issue, and fully agree with it. The development of a robot may be a very big scientific achievement, but it is not in the interest of humanity. When a number of production processes were automated, a large number of people became unemployed. There is another danger. A robot consists of various circuits and parts. If they malfunction, what will be its effect on the robot? It is something we cannot predict. Probably it may become a statue!
-Arun S Dandekar, Munbai
Positive Change
The article on ahimsa, Towards Absolute Harmlessness, in the May 2023 issue of Life Positive was great. I am a Jain but did not understand this core principle of Jainism completely. I used to think it is not practical to practise isst in everyday life. Life Positive has transformed me completely in this area through this article, and I thank them for it. Suma Varughese has done a wonderful exploration of this principle, showing both the empowering and spiritual power when we make it a part of our lives. With stories and experiences, she has indeed made me vow to make true ahimsa a part of my life.
-Rajas Jain, Mumbai
Mudra magic
There are many techniques which we have forgotten, and I thank Life Positive for bringing them to our attention again. A case in point is the inclusion of articles on mudras. I find them very empowering. I took them lightly at first but then explored them after a while. Now, I have made it a part of my daily routine and have found a lot of improvement in all areas. I have also told my friends and family too about it, and many have thanked me for introducing them to this simple, doable therapy that people have forgotten.

Interconnected
We have always known that life needs to be led taking into account various aspects together. In his article, The Interconnected Path to Wellness, in the May 2023 issue, Mr C P Kumar brings this out wonderfully and clearly by including therapies, positive thinking, and spirituality and its essence. This has had an impact on me, and I shall surely work on myself keeping all these aspects in mind. Thanks, Life Positive, for this great article.
-Aruna Kumar, Bangalore
Unlitfinng holistic article
It was wonderful to read the article The Interconnected Path to Wellness by C P Kumar in the May 2023 issue of Life Positive. The author describes many therapies, personal growth, and spirituality seamlessly, asking all readers to work on themselves to grow in all areas. He has brought out the bigger picture of life in a clear, concise, and yet complete manner. I loved his writing on spirituality, with the exploration of questions such as ‘What is the meaning of life?’ and ‘What is my purpose in this world?’ and on including meditation, prayer, yoga, and mindfulness in our gambit of life.
-Praveen Kelkar, Mumbai
Power of family
My father always used to tell me to never underestimate the power of the family. This has been brought out by Sujatha Rao very well in her article, The World is One Family, in the May 2023 issue, where she enumerates the strengths of the family in all areas. More than international recognition by the UN, I like her depiction of all the social and human aspects of the family structure, which truly made me introspect and think about this important aspect of our lives. With too much activity outside, I resolved to give more time and energy to my family, beginning now. Thank you, Sujatha Rao and Life Positive, for this great article.
-Shankar Narayan, Mumbai
World is one
Now’s the time for family time It was wonderful to read the article The World is One Family by Sujatha Rao in the May 2023 issue of Life Positive. The author has wonderfully brought out all aspects of a family and has also made us understand its importance in today’s day and age. With even the United Nations recognising this, it is time we all go back to the Vedic adage, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. With so many issues happening all over the world, it is recognising this that will make the world happy, healthy, and wise again. It may take a little while, but I am sure it shall happen soon.

Mudras and conception
The rise in infertility is increasing, both in men and women. People could use the simple techniques given by Abhay Kumarji in his article, Conception through Natural Intervention, in the June 2023 issue. It would surely be a great boon for those who are looking for all kinds of complicated and expensive procedures. This would of course happen only when people realise that natural techniques do work when done sincerely and diligently. The reason why these ancient techniques are not taken seriously is that most people feel only things that cost money work in the current materialistic age. I hope this mindset changes to appreciate simple yet effective techniques like the ones shown by Life Positive. – Shashi Mathur, Delhi Spiritual soulmates The article, Teaching in Tandem, in the June 2023 issue, about the couple walking together on the spiritual path was interesting. The fact that both of them seem so connected to the divine is absolutely amazing. They seem like a couple who definitely seem to have had many spiritual connections earlier also. I have resolved to meet them in this lifetime, for it is very rare to see husband and wife walking together on the spiritual path and guiding others too. The fact that they are not worried about their material needs is also a lesson we all need to observe and learn from. –
-Arjun Kapoor, Delhi
Know your brain
The article Boost your Brainpower in the June 2023 issue was quite interesting. The brain is indeed an amazing organ, and it does require more study. This article shows us its power and also how studying it could be useful to all, something that is surely worth pursuing. Such knowledge should definitely be taken seriously with the increase in mental health issues.
-Sudari Kapoor, Mumbai
Lifestyle
Diseases like diabetes are called lifestyle diseases, but the lead story, Tending Your Ticker, in the June 2023 issue, shows us how everything, including the heart is dependent on our lifestyle. The article talks about how to balance diet, fitness, and mental health for a holistic life and to keep ourselves healthy. The emphasis on proper diet, routine, and a calm frame of mind made me realise how almost everyone is getting stressed in every area of their life. As even doctors now recommend a balanced approach, I hope the situation changes slowly but surely. More articles like these should be read and taken seriously by everyone in the health sector and by all of us too.
-Prema Rajan, Bangalore
Simple tips
Simple tips for heart health In the world as it is today, we think only of material wealth but forget that we should not go overboard, compromising our health, and in the process, our life. This is the most foolish thing that everyone, both the young and old are doing nowadays. After reading the news of even young people succumbing to heart ailments, the article Tending Your Ticker, in the June 2023 issue of Life Positive, gave me hope and showed me how to keep this problem at bay. It was wonderful to read how we need to be conscious of our health, including keeping our heart healthy and fit.
-Shekar Srinivasan, Chennai
Reader relates well to article on relationships
Just finished reading this phenomenal piece, The Puzzle of Relationships, by Editor Shivi Verma in the April issue of Life Positive, and couldn’t wait to convey my huge appreciation. I could relate to each para, each sentence . . . in fact, each word!
-Rajesh Gupta, Ranchi
Star value
I loved the article The Star Who Reads Your Stars in the July issue of Life Positive. I agree with the star astrologer who candidly tells us the purpose of astrology and how and when to use it to capitalise on one’s strengths and minimise weaknesses. Indeed, it is very much like psychology as it shows what the person is from within. When used well, it can be a good guide for us to work on ourselves. Luck does not happen; we need to make it happen. And here, astrology is one of the tools we can use.
-Shankar Hegde, Bangalore
Defending yourself in the digital age
With so many scams becoming the talk of the town, Building Digital Immunity was a wonderful article in the July issue that showed us how to lead our lives safely while making use of digital platforms. I have often been a victim of these scams but did not know what to do about it. This article was an eye-opener. I shared it with all my friends, young and old, so that they don’t get exploited by online fraudsters. This is practical education for modern times. Thanks, Life Positive, for this article that is very much needed in the digital world.
-Sunanda Raman, Chennai
Family way
LP shows family the way to happiness Being a happy family sounds simple, but it is very complicated in modern times. The article How to Be a Happy Family, in the July issue, shows how we could prioritise family time to eliminate stress. It helped me make an action plan to ensure that family time is fun time and not stress time. I feel I need to do this for my children, who want some succour and support from their parents. As is often said, it is what we do that is more important than what we say. Thanks for your guidance, Life Positive.
-Ramya Parthasarathy, Chennai
Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga within easy reach Kundalini Yoga is something I have always been interested in. I did not know how to further my knowledge about it though I did make a lot of enquiries. Most people who responded to my queries made it sound very complicated. I felt I would just have to forget about it as I did not know how to pursue it further. Hence, it was wonderful to read about a couple who teaches it in a simplified way in the article Reaching for the SKY, in the July issue of Life Positive. As I live in Bangalore, I will definitely try to visit them as soon as possible. Thank you, Life Positive, for bringing such wonderful souls to our attention.
-Prasanna Gowda, Bangalore
Messages from the beyond
I loved the lead story, Messages from the Beyond, in the July issue of Life Positive. I resonated with it as my mother’s friend was in the doldrums after she lost her young grandson in an accident in her own house when he touched a live wire. She went into depression, until a kind friend took her to a spiritual guide who asked her to teach in a school and connect with other children to alleviate her depression and guilt. He told her to give not just money but time too. And yes, that did make a difference in her life. People often discredit such guides, but the fact is that while some are commercial, many are well-meaning, like the one mentioned here, and hese are the ones whom we should listen to
-Sharanya Sridhar, Mumbai
Divine guidance
I have always been curious about tantriks and the curses that they, sometimes, are said to remove. My friend’s life changed after going to a tantrik-cum-astrologer. She was not getting any job though she was a good student. He said she had a karmic curse as she had been an unfair teacher in her last birth, and she could resolve it only by feeding the poor every Saturday for as long as possible. She did do so, and after two months, job offers started pouring in. Hence, I related to the cover story, Messages from the Beyond, in the July issue of Life Positive and feel that connecting to people who guide you properly to remove your curses is something we all can do.
-Chitra Srinivasan, Babgalore
Of gratitude and compassion
This is in reference to a very good article Towards the Sun by Suma Varughese in the August 2023 issue of Life Positive. The writer has very well pointed out the importance of gratitude. Indeed we receive many things but do not realise their value. Rather we pay attention to things that we do not have and complain. This comes in the way of our happiness. Along with the feeling of gratitude I would like to add the attitude of acceptance. In our life many things go wrong. At that time, we complain, and waste our energy in blaming, fuming and fretting. We should learn to accept it. This is the way nature works and is true for everybody. We need to keep calm. Accepting does not me doing nothing. We have to take action as the situation demands. By accepting we are in the best position to find proper solution and find a way out. Gratitude and acceptance will help us in leading a happy life.
-Arun S Dandekar, Munbai
Mothers everywhere
I was extremely touched by the article, My mother and others by Jamuna Rangachari in the August 2023 issue of Life Positive. Describing the positive role of all motherly figures in her life shows the temperament of a grateful person. I have experienced the loving care and protection of all my friends’ moms. I basked in their pampering as they found delight in feeding the one girl who was not a fussy eater. The article stirred up many pleasant memories in my heart. It reminded me to express immense gratitude for the motherly love that we all are showered with throughout our lives.
-Dr Bijal Maroo, Mumbai
LP encourages skin care
Like the author in the article on collagen, Skincare: How Far Should You Stretch It?, in the August issue, my mother used to coax me to eat more fibrous food for good skin. On reading the article, she smiled at me without saying “I told you so” and shared it with all her friends too. This has resulted in everyone raving about Life Positive, which shows us how to combine modern thinking with ancient wisdom. I have been enthused by this article to speak to everyone about natural collagen.
-Shail Agarwal, Lucknow
Mudras and meditation
Waking up to a variety of mudras Meditation is something I attempted to do for a long time but gave it up due to my wavering mind. I know about mudras too, which are very simple to follow, and I particularly like what the author says about mudras being like mothers. I used to think only Jnaan Mudra was for meditation. However, the article Mudras for Meditation in the August issue of Life Positive showed me other mudras also, so I will now practice all of them for a holistic mind and life.
-Srinivas Shekhar, Mumbai
Yoga column paves the way
Sirsasana is known as the crown of yoga asanas, which even experienced people hesitate to attempt. I have always tried to perform Sirsasana but could never do it, partially duto fear and partially due to a lack of effort. The article The Sitting Sirsasana in the August issue made me resolve to do it as it certainly seemed simple and doable. I am also going to share it with my friends so that we can attempt it together. Thank you Kamala Venkatji and Life Positive for adding value to our lives through simple fitness suggestions. i
-Ramya Parthasarathy, Chennai
Travel and grit
Spiritual travel builds true grit I have always wondered why people spend so much time and money on pilgrimages, especially during times of climate change, when we hear about all kinds of calamities. The article Fierce Grace in the August issue of Life Positive showed me how pilgrimages are all about acceptance of all situations as they present themselves to us. I travel a lot due to my work, and I am proud of it; but I never thought of pilgrimages as a kind of divine travel. This article showed me the pilgrimage aspect of travel and I shall certainly include it in my travel plans.
-Sanjay Ghosh, Kolkata
All are unique
Most adolescents, even the good-looking ones, have a body complex due to comparing themselves with others. This is a common complex that leads to many others later in life. We need to educate ourselves to not give importance to looks and curb our opinion about others, especially in front of youngsters. The lead article, Own Your Body, in the August issue of Life Positive, examines this and may make a difference to the mindsets of all. It could enable us to understand how each of us is unique and, therefore, should never demean anyone due to our opinion of them. This article also plays a role in increasing the self-esteem of youngsters.
-Poornima Thakur, Ranchi
Fat or thin, it ain’t a sin
The article Own Your Body, in the August issue of Life Positive, was great. With so much hype and showing-off prevalent on social media and otherwise, many people have now started almost hating their bodies. We need to accept ourselves as we are and then work on making ourselves as presentable as possible instead of being obsessed with the concept of beauty portrayed by those with vested interests to promote their products. In this article, the author, Navni Chawla, shows us how to lead our lives by owning our bodies, as the title of the article says. I hope more people read this wonderful article.
-Sandy Johns, Delhi
Mempriries of a Bollywood superstat rekindled
After the lockdown and the discontinuation of the print copy of LP, when I received the first issue yesterday, I felt as if I was meeting a long lost friend. Today, I read the first article titled, Gone in a Laugh, by Jyoti Marianne Bahri. Maybe it is some message from the Universe to me. This story reminded me somewhat of the character played by the late Rajesh Khanna in an old Hindi movie titled Anand.
-Manmohan Singh, Mohali (Punjab)
Moving into the light
The article Into the Light, in the September 2023 issue, was wonderful. It showed us how we all can try in our own ways to seek the truth and finally reach there. In the globalised world of today, one advantage is that we can seek our path from anywhere and, in the process, customise it as per what suits us. This is what was seen in the interview and the journey of Suresh Ramaswamy. I shall surely buy his book to know more about him as this interview piqued my curiosity about him.
-Sheena Kapoor, Chandigarh
The uncertainty of life
Laxmi Nair’s article, Yesterday Lives Only in Your Mind, in the September 2023 issue of Life Positive, on the impermanence of life, was very moving. We need to understand that death can knock on our door or the doors of our loved ones anytime. I started calling all my friends to revive bonds and, in the process, felt much better as a human being. I am also very grateful for being alive and for each and every moment I am gifted with. I resolved to make gratitude a part of life. So yes, this article did have a great impact on me.
-Sharad Nair, Delhi
Bearing suffering
The article, The Isness of Suffering, by Suma Varughese in the September 2023 issue was very moving. It is a fact that we suffer a lot when we see our loved ones facing challenges. Her sharing of her sister’s cancer and her own pain watching her wither away was very moving. I remember the time my brother passed away at a young age, and we all could never overcome the grief for a very long time. Human nature resists pain and seeks happiness. However, since both are the opposite sides of the same coin, we need to learn to accept pain if we want to savour joy.
-Chandra Rajput, Ranchi
Haveli culture
I have always wondered why there has been no effort by anyone to explore the glory of our old havelis and the culture in and around them. After reading the article Heal Naturally in Heritage Havelis, in the September 2023 issue, I am glad that Life Positive is having a retreat in this ambience with two wonderful workshops. I am not sure if I can take part in it, but I shall surely try as both seem promising. Life Positive has always taken a step in the right direction, and I wish them the best for this wonderful event in an unusual and exciting venue. This certainly seems to be a holistic adventure of a different kind.
-Ratna Kant, Mumbai
Express your true self
Though I have been living in North India for many years, the culture of the South attracts me as I was born a South Indian and often go to South India. My wife, though a Punjabi, has learnt many art forms of the South and even makes kolams in our home diligently. We are known as an ideal couple and role models in our circles as we have always never hesitated to be who we are. This is why I really loved the September 2023 cover story as it tells us to never hesitate to express ourselves completely. –

Wonderfu
Wonderful lead story The article Own Your Body, in the August issue of Life Positive, was great.

Forgivenesss, the eternal healer
The article Hawaiian Healing for the Whole World in the December issue was amazing. I had heard about this technique but what made it a wonderful read was the experience shared by the author who defeated every challenge just by practising this technique diligently. This made me believe firmly in the power of healing through positive thoughts which includes forgiveness. I have decided to join Srinivas B’s whatsapp group and work on myself. Thank you Life Positive for letting us know about this wonderful person.

Illnesses and thoughts
The article Let Your Mind Heal Your Body in the December issue was very insightful. I could analyse myself and others in the process better. As a diabetic recently diagnosed with thyroid too, I realised that I could change my thought process to heal myself and have decided to work on this. This will take while as there is a lot of inner work that I need to do. I shared the article with my friends and plan to form a group so that we all could motivate each other in working on our own selves.

Co-creating with God
The article on Red Bushes, Blue Roses in the December 2023 issue of Life Positive was wonderful. All of us need to revive this aspect of ourselves to be co-creators in the journey of our lives. This may be as simple as stitching something or making a painting in a notebook as dictated by our talents. Talents may or may not get recognised but when our creative gene is active, we are happier. In a sense, being creative brings us closer to the Creator which is why it is encouraged by all spiritual organisations. – Sheeba Singh, Jaipur 08 LifePositive | JANUARY 2024 Illnesses and thoughts The article Let Your Mind Heal Your Body was very insightful. Various hues of love
Various hues of love Plethora of love stories, novels, movies, ballads and love songs exist in the popular culture. We would think that people would know what to do. Yet misunderstandings and break ups abound. What could be the reason? Is it because we do not speak the same language? When we are unique in so many ways, it is natural that we would love express love too differently. The article The Language of Love in the December 2023 of Life Positive has brought this out beautifully making us understand others better.

Crying helps
I lost my sister to whom I was very close last month. In the process of helping others cope, I remained a strong man to all externally and did not shed even a tear of grief. I kept thinking of her and wept internally for a very long time. My wife could sense this and so brought the March issue of Life Positive and asked me to read the article on crying. I cried the whole night and yes did feel better the following day. It is unfortunate that many men repress their grief like I did and thank Life Positive for showing us how crying can be therapeutic.

Trusting myself at last
I always had an issue in trusting myself since childhood. This is the reason I did not take part in many events I would have loved to. bI used to make some excuse or the other and blame others, becoming a kind of cry baby. The article in the March issue shows me how wrong I was and I vowed to trusting myself and doing all that I have ever wanted to. As a first step, I joined a nearby music class pursuing an inner interest that I had put under the carpet as I did not trust myself earlier. Better late than never, I suppose.

Wonderful lead story
The lead story in May 2024 that showed the spiritual journey of many was great. These are stories that inspire us and hence it is worth preserving and sharing. I have already begun doing so in my colony and it has created a kind of satsang, in my circle of friends and relatives. As a seeker himself, the author has brought out what is important and picked wonderful stories, some already well known, some not so well known. It is magazines like Life Positive that bring us such wonderful gems in the times of negativity that are showcased in other publications.

Not-so-sweet facts about honey
I want to thank you for the wonderful article Honey: Facts You Didn’t Know by Jamuna Rangachari in the February 2022 issue of Life Positive. It was an eye-opener for my entire family who had been buying the popular brands from the market, thinking them to be pure. I still remember giving away four bottles of home-grown honey gifted to me by a relative to my maids because it had crystallised during winter, and I had thought it to be impure owing to the change it had undergone. How I regret it now! It’s really sad that virtually no efforts are made by the government to enlighten people about the real and natural state of not only honey but many other products, causing us to place our trust in hyped but counterfeit products. I once again thank Team Life Positive for coming up with such informative and empowering articles.

Spirituality—the elixir
I am very happy to read Life Positive magazine, which, by its very name, helps us make our thoughts and emotions positive.

In the April, May, and June 2020 issues, all articles are thought-provoking and inspire one to make efforts to become a spiritual person. One such article was Surya Sheds Light on Spirituality. Spirituality is the best medicine for all our problems. Becoming spiritual, we always remain calm—no anxiety, no stress.

Thanks to Team Life Positive.

Superb Editspeak
The Editspeak A tradition of happiness by editor Shivi Verma published in the October 2019 issue was a fabulous read. It is a great analysis of the human mind’s pursuit of happiness and how we can achieve fulfilment, peace, and our life-purpose.
Ask any human being what they want most in life and they will say happiness. But happiness should not be confused with laughing or grinning. Happiness is basically contentment, but we do not know how to reach this elusive state. Shivi Verma elucidates that one gets the deepest happiness by serving others in need. The act of selfless service brings untold happiness, which is similar to experiencing the Divine and tasting eternity. You may say that there is nothing new about this thought and that we already know this. But the words Shivi has used to convey this sentiment fill you with happiness, stillness and a touch of divinity. It was exhilarating to read this article.

A lighthouse like Life Positive
In the November 2019 issue of Life Positive, Naini Setalvad has shown a delightful way to incorporate plants and vegetables in one’s diet through her article A smooth way to good health. I thank her for it.
Editor Shivi Verma’s column Free will and destiny was absolutely divine and shows how gifted she is in her thoughts. I humbly believe Life Positive guards and guides human beings just like a lighthouse that alerts ships to dangerous rocks. It gives the message of hope and brotherhood so we can bond with each other. Looking forward to more delightful and thought-provoking articles from LP.

All the articles in the magazine Life Positive are amazing. It was recommended to me by a friend and reading it left me happy and more self-aware. The article Integrity: Guided by the inner light in the November 2019 issue by Nitya Rajagopal was enlightening and said what I truly believe in.
I was also glad to know that we have a vegan school in India! Given the rapidly deteriorating situation of our environment and climate, our future does depend on protecting the health of our future generations and the planet. It’s important for our children to learn moral and ethical values. I like how their curriculum includes humanitarian subjects like empathy, compassion, humanity, and healthy eating habits. It is great to know of such well-intended institutions. I also liked the Mudra column which is so practical and helpful that one can practise the mudras therein while sitting at home.

A fantastic issue
The article Conquering procrastination—today in the November 2019 issue of Life Positive captures the negative associations such as depression, irrational behaviour, anxiety, and most importantly, lack of self- esteem that are linked with procrastination. Fear of failure is the biggest cause of procrastination. We don’t understand that failure is never fatal. We forget that mistakes can be fixed if we give ourselves another chance. The more stressed you are, the harder it is to live. Don’t be angry with yourself. Move on and focus on what you can do instead. Another article Sleepless beauty was a fantastic read. Insomnia is a complicated sleeping disorder. Having suffered from it, I can vouch for the fact that fatigue, low energy, difficulty in concentrating, mood disturbances, and decreased performance at work result from acute insomnia. It is great to know that it can be cured without medication. I have been practising yoga myself, and not only has it improved my condition but also my core strength, flexibility, and stress levels.
