The second global congress of spiritual scientists held recently in bangalore was a high-energy confluence of kindred spirits
Earth evolution through spiritual revolution’ was the theme of the second Global Congress of Spiritual Scientists (GCSS), held from October 2 to 5 at the picturesque and serene Pyramid Valley located about 30 km south of Bangalore. As the name suggests, Pyramid Valley is built around a mega pyramid called ‘Maitreya-Buddha Pyramid’, dedicated to the practice of intensive meditation. All the activities of the spiritual congress were held inside this high energy pyramid.
The conference started with a meditation guided by Brahmarshi Patriji, the founder of the Pyramid Spiritual Society (PSS) movement across the world. Such meditations were conducted at the beginning of each day. The event was inaugurated by the president of GCSS, Jasmuheen, a multi-dimensional teacher from Australia, specialising in inter-dimensional field science and a leading researcher on pranic nourishment, by garlanding a picture of Mahatma Gandhi, whose birthday was on that day. Indu Jain, the chairman of The Times of India group, Dr Newton Kondaveti of Life Research Academy, Hyderabad, Esperide Ananas of the Federation of Damanhur, Italy, Erik Burglund and Rasha of USA lit the inaugural lamp.
Patriji led the congregation in singing the Mahatma’s favourite bhajan, Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram. He called Mahatma Gandhi a great spiritual scientist, and Gandhiji’s favourite book the Bhagavad Gita a great treatise of spiritual science. He emphasised ‘living’ spiritual science, and not be satisfied by mere understanding of its tenets. Patriji’s constant refrain was, “You are not the physical body.”
The vice president of GCSS, Shreyas Daga urged the gathering to, “lose your identity. Remember what you are.” Dr Newton called this conference the nucleus or focal point of spiritual revolution. He defined a spiritual scientist as one who has an open mind to explore, go within and research the consciousness. The GCSS president, Jasmuheen’s message was, “Let us be non-violent to ourselves by knowing who we are.”
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar delivered the keynote address. He said, “Sickness and pain are omnipresent. Meditation is the only answer to all ills. Take the message of non-violence and meditation to each home. Let people raise their scientific and spiritual tempers.”
A workshop on ‘Enhancing human evolution and the global benefits of personal enlightenment’ was conducted by Jasmuheen, founder of the Self Empowerment Academy, Cosmic Internet Academy, and the Embassy of Peace. She spoke about achieving freedom from various kinds of hunger – hunger for food, emotional hunger, intellectual hunger, and spiritual hunger. She asked everyone to stop trying to ‘understand’ and instead just ‘be’.
Swami Nirmalananda spoke about friendship being the highest form of relationship, achieving Maitreya Buddha consciousness, in which all are considered as friends. Jasmuheen conducted another workshop on ‘Shifting of the Ages: 2012 and beyond’. The highlights of this workshop were, “We control this shift. Our physical body is a biofeedback system. It influences the planetary bio-field. Improve your energy field by pure, kind, compassionate thoughts and service. Believe in your dreams and see them. Tune into inner planes which have billions of stars and life forms. Through the ‘inner-net’ connect with all dimensions. Without uttering even a word of wisdom you can influence a great number of people. Step into the field of love and get rid of all your questions.”
Dr Jayesh, a Mumbai-based holistic homeopath presented a research paper titled, ‘Transformation is a journey within’. He spoke of disease being a multi-dimensional manifestation of various influences beyond time and space in other consciousnesses. It is the disturbance of the vital force. You get healed out of knowledge that emerges out of you and the healer’s being. He explained the workings of homeopathy in simple terms and presented a case study.
Gurpreet Singh, a Delhi-based ex-army officer turned shamanic practitioner presented the shamanic way of handling foreign body attachments. He described shamans as people who ‘walk between the worlds’. The power of a shaman comes from complete merging with spirit. He explained how the element of fear opens one up to invasion by virus, bacteria, and spirits. He called this malaise RAGS – regret, anger, guilt syndrome, which weakens our energy shield.
Dr Newton and Dr Lakshmi of Life Research Academy conducted a session on ‘The science of past-life regression: Journeys of the soul’. The gist of the presentation was, ‘Earth is our playground, testing ground and school. It is a 3-D framework of linearity, cause and effect, duality, density and amnesia. This experience gives us knowledge and wisdom. In this re-incarnation drama the souls go through many stages.’
Esperide Ananas, a writer, lecturer and communications director of the Federation of Damanhur in Italy, along with her associate presented a ‘Musical concert by plants’. It was amazing to hear the melodies created by plants through equipment capable of capturing the electro-magnetic changes on the surface of leaves and roots and transforming them into musical notes. The indescribable sounds created a music where the plants exhibited individual energies and yet harmonised with each other.
Dr Newton and Dr Lakshmi conducted another workshop on Family Constellations. It was an exercise to bring home the fact that all relationships in a system are choice-based, and all information can be accessed from the Oneness field in an intuitive process. Dr Newton explained how various family secrets create blocks and dysfunctional events in life.
Erik Burglund, a unique recording artist from USA who combines extraordinary musical talents with the spirit and power of God’s healing gifts, spoke about ‘Preparing for the coming changes’. He taught many exercises and mudras to lift spirits, control anger, raise self-esteem, arrest fears, release doubts, sadness and grief, stop heart attacks, let go, grounding, meditate for long time, erasememories, cure depression, trim waistline, cure eye problems and ear problems.
Rasha, the author of Oneness and The Calling, who awoke to her inner calling as a conduit of divine guidance in 1987, conducted a workshop on ‘Oneness: Discovering the Divinity within’. She took the participants on a meditative journey into the experience of ‘Oneness’. In her words, “Our relationship with Oneness is the love of our lives. Experience transcendence. It is not the path of mind but that of the heart. There is a delicate balance between intention (masculine aspect) and surrender (feminine aspect). Focus with your heart on this balance. Your spiritual journey is personal. Find out what works for you. It is not spirituality by consensus. Oneness is not ‘is’ness; Oneness is ‘am’ ness. You are a composite. You must tune into your energy field every moment. Prioritise where you go and who you are with. Before doing anything ask yourself, “What will I lose from my energy bank account? Look at your energy. Who do you touch? Who do you hug? Make choices in these matters. There are no rights or wrongs. There are no ‘shoulds’. Make your own rules.”
