Partha Gupta is a popular name among the readers of Life Positive.
Two years ago, when he was first interviewed by Life Positive, he had created a wave in the spiritual circles with his unique approach. Using his laser-sharp insights, he had cut through all the airy-fairy, chimerical stuff surrounding spiritual concepts and brought it down to the brass tacks. And it had made tremendous sense to the readers. No wonder that his first workshop ran to a full house at the Life Positive Expo in Coimbatore, in 2016. He crystallised concepts like yoga, pranayama, meditation, and mudra like none other and astounded all and sundry with his clarity and firm grasp on the fundamentals of life. He offered such unique tools that no one could go wrong with them. As his following grew, so did his ingenious ideas. To make his work more accessible to people, he created an e-workshop called Breath Inside-Breathing like a child in collaboration with Life Positive.
According to Partha, the methods taught by him can be learnt by anyone, by simply following the instructions mentioned in it.
To demonstrate his skills, he came to Life Positive’s office in New Delhi and conducted a workshop with the senior members of the team. And he blew everyone away with his mind-blowing techniques. He brought alive the experience of spirituality for everyone present. Meditation and its blissful after-effect was no longer a matter of chance or Divine grace, nor did it require any mental effort on the part of the seeker. All one had to do was breathe in a certain way. After the session got over, the participants felt as though a hollow pipe, through which air could pass freely, had been created inside them. The experience unleashed a flurry of unbridled joy in them. Said Partha, “After doing this kriya, you no longer have to visualise or ask for the fulfilment of your desires. You become so magnetic that you become the desire of the object of your desires. This breath has the power to naturally draw to you all that you want to manifest in your life.”

What exactly is Breath Inside?
There was a famous saint of this land known as Kabir. Somebody asked him, “Where does God reside?” He answered, “God is the breath of the breath.” This is what Breath Inside is all about. It is that which is inside the breath which is running the show. This consciousness is described as the ‘breath inside.’
Please tell us more about the Breath Inside -Breathing like a child workshop.
Breath plays a vital role; anything that is alive and breathes, shall grow. The e-workshop, Breath Inside-Breathing like a child is an attempt to connect with everyone. It is an online workshop that enables you to become your own trainer and learn at your own pace, right at your home. The best thing about this workshop is that whenever you need any support, the author remains available for clearing doubts and queries over calls/Skype for a period of six months. Breath Inside-Breathing like a child is divided into five major sections:
Section one is the foundation where we define yoga, meditation, breath, prana, chakras, and nadis. We have defined these topics in such a way that everyone clearly understands what is presented in the workshop. Once something is defined in a simpler manner, we understand its dynamics much better. Take, for example, meditation. Unless we know the definition of meditation, it cannot happen to us; we will be only attending to meditation. So, the first chapter is dedicated to defining things right.
The second section is on healing, the way it is. It is possible to have a life without compulsive medication. How the simple knowledge of breath, the way it works, and directing it to the affected organ using the right mudras can simplify our life. Through these kriyas, lots of people have healed themselves of ailments like migraine, thyroid disorders, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, or obesity.
The third section is called approach. It is about how we approach life and how life approaches us. Life is a mirror reflection—you receive what you project out to the world. Your approach should be to create a difference by settling and energising important aspects of life such as health, wealth, and emotions. But the most important aspects of life should be our approach to relationships, home, space, and the breath. This section is all about these things. If you are a healer or a teacher, this section will teach you many techniques that you can apply to the modalities you already know. It will increase the sphere of your work.
The fourth section is on fortune frequency. I call it the frequency of fortune. Everything is frequency. My present breath is a frequency—each breath is a certain frequency. Anything that exists, exists in us at a certain frequency. All our wishes also exist at a certain frequency. Whatever you want in life, be it success, money, or abundance, whenever you get it, you consider yourself fortunate. However, the truth is that the frequencies of these things already exist in each one of us. We have simply forgotten this aspect in us due to social conditioning and inner resistance. Fortune frequency is all about removing the resistance and reconnecting to every fortunate aspect of life. It has been changing people’s perception of life in a major way. It is one of the important chapters that finally paves the way to the soul aspects of life.
Why should people know about breath? What is the concept of breath and why is it so important?
Life is functioning as breath. Everything in life is in the spectrum of the good, bad and ugly and is happening because it vibrates at a certain frequency. Breath is our existence and is also a frequency. Everything that is breathing is alive and has a certain frequency. So, it is very interesting to know that whatever you experience in the name of happiness, abundance, or freedom is happening through the medium of breath. Because what you seek already has an image inside you.
Where does it exist?
It exists in the consciousness. There is a combination of frequencies that gives shape to your experiences. When your breath matches a frequency, you get to experience that in your life. Whatever you desire, it manifests. That is why I think everyone should know about breath. It is the most fundamental thing. It’s like when you are playing a game, you must know the rules of the game; similarly, when you are playing [the game of] life, you must know the dynamics of breath.
I am curious to know more about the aspects of breathing like a child and receiving like a child. What is the connection between a breath and a child?
It is nothing but a simple observation of our own experience as children. When we were very small, lying in our mother’s lap, or a playful one-year-old, our mind was not functional. We were playful, joyous, and would easily get things we never even asked for. But, as adults, we always have to pray or beg for things we wish to get. The effortlessness of receiving, that is there in a child’s breath, is lost in an adult. So, the difference between a child’s breath and an adult’s breath is that a child’s breath is pure but that of an adult is adulterated. When a person is able to remove this adulteration, only then can they breathe like a child. Therefore, age is not a barrier. Reconnect to the same breath of a child to receive everything naturally.
How is this concept related to being in the flow? Is there any connection between ‘breath inside’ and being in the flow?
The word flow tells you that there is no obstruction to the flow of the breath. The obstructions, basically, are a product of the mind. As we grow in our resistances, doubts, fears, and insecurities, they all become a part of our breath. When you are in a state of flow, your mind is not clogged with stressors. Even meditation is described as transcending the mind. There are two aspects in each one of us. One is life, and the other is mind. When the mind gets rested what remains is life. And in each breath, what functions is life. The more you are with life, the more life happens to you. It is as simple as that. So, going with the flow is not allowing the mind to become an obstruction to the flow of life.
What was your inspiration behind coming up with this e-workshop?
This is interesting and has evolved over a period of time. There’s always a query in us whenever we are trying to grow in life, learning different modalities, doing meditation, or trying to do yoga. I found that after a certain time, nothing seems to work. When I looked for answers, I realised that in the name of being practical, we were mostly getting away from the breath and holistic thinking or were indulging in ritualistic drama, without proper understanding. We talked about meditation but did not even know the definition of meditation. There came a point when I arrived at this observation: out of 100 people attempting meditation, 90 were unable to experience it. I realised that this was simply because meditation, as a word, was not defined well. When it is not defined well, you do not know what you are doing. You are just following instructions. Meditation is not just about health or peace; it is, above all, a relationship—a state where you do not exist as an identity of ego. You exist as a piece of life with life throbbing and living inside you. With millions of books by various authors and many schools of thought available, a simplified approach was necessary. Somebody needed to define things in a much simpler way. So, for the last four to five years of writing the book, I have been thinking about how to simplify things. How do I make it so simple that everybody understands it? Even today, I talk to 100–200 homemakers coming in for a session about quantum physics, in a way that they can understand. So, this is what inspired me. Life was so close to us, throbbing in us, and yet, we were elsewhere and not manifesting what we wanted. We were not communicating with life in its proper grammar.
What message do you have for the readers of Life Positive with respect to Breath Inside-Breathing like a child? Is there something that you would like to share with them at this point?
Helping people breathe like a child and receive like a child is the whole attempt of the e-workshop Breath Inside-Breathing like a child. You just need to have certain insights right to regain that breath. Meditation does not need to happen to you; rather, a meditative state should be your normal state all the time, where we become a witness and not a participant in everything. You must be able to understand and apply whatever you have read in the texts by all the gurus of the world. And then you will be able to observe ‘receivings’ from life. So, it is all about a real, true, magical, and tangible relationship with life.
What is the one magical moment or experience had by you or any of the seekers when you have healed them or transformed them through the concept of ‘Breath Inside’?
The most recent one is from Mumbai, where I told people that whatever they want, exists. It exists at a certain frequency; so, when the frequency matches, it happens. This lady had to see a doctor and was fifth in line. She just remembered this teaching, applied it, and got a call to go inside next. I got a call from her in the evening, and she told me about the whole incident. Then there’s something about breath and meditation which is fundamentally related to our health. We have heard that health is wealth right from our childhood. However, because of our habits, we have slowly and unconsciously moved away from true health. Organic food is not available easily. People have afflictions like migraine, thyroid disorders, hypertension, diabetes, and what not. This is where Breath Inside-Breathing like a child will not only teach yoga enthusiasts and spiritual teachers or healers but also the common man how simple mudras can not only help you in recovering from diseases but also enable you to enjoy a life without medication. What happens is that when an organ does not function well, it simply means it is not getting enough prana. Prana is there in the breath. Oxygen plus prana is the breath. So, when the organ is not able to access prana, the mudras help you to direct the prana from your breath into the given organ. If anyone practices this, in a months’ time, they can come out of medication. Even the diabetes patients have been benefited by Breath Inside-breathing like a child module. I do not take testimonials because my guru has taught me not to take testimonials from people, but people recovered from migraine after a couple of weeks. Conditions like thyroid disorders and hypertension (where medicines were being taken for years) have healed in two months’ time. This is because organs recover through the quality of breath we inhale. This is the bigger part of Breath Inside because we are seeking health, good relationships, and a good flow of abundance to enjoy a happy life. And this is what we are trying to teach through Breath Inside. The richness of your breath determines what you receive from life. If your breath is clean and uncontaminated, you will manifest. That’s the fundamental thing about breath. It’s all in the breath ultimately.
