What if you were told that your dreams could come true? That you could enjoy perfect health, or your business could multiply a hundred times? Professional Insights or Pi, as it is popularly known, has been directly responsible for transforming thousands of lives in the areas of health, wealth, relationships and personal spiritual evolution. Meet Pi founders, Manoj Lekhi and Najoo Sohonie.
Professional Insights is a management programme, which trains one to think differently. It is a perfect blend of contemporary western thought and traditional Indian wisdom. An important aspect of this programme is ‘Vision’. Over 90 per cent of people, say the founders of Pi, do not have a vision. Of the 10 per cent who do have an idea of what they want from the future, five per cent of them do not write it down. Writing, says Najoo, makes any dream more tangible, more achievable and yes, clearer. In the Pi programme there is tremendous attention given to making visions and dreams specific. For instance, don’t write, “I want to lose some weight.” Write, “I want to lose 10 kilos in six months.” The logic is simple – if you went to a station and said, “I want to go somewhere”, no one will be able to help you. But if you are specific and say exactly what your destination is, you will be guided to the ticket counter. So step one, is to write a vision and make it specific.
Step two is to ensure that the vision is positive. For instance, instead of writing, “I don’t want diseases!” the vision should be, “I want to be healthy.” Says one of the participants of the Pi programme, “I had a vision to get a 2 BHK house in a prime location in Mumbai for a particular price. I found a house for that price – however it was only one BHK (bedroom-hall-kitchen). I took it even though it was not exactly what I had envisioned. To my surprise, in a few months, the building went under construction and one BHK-holders were promised two by the builders!”
Step three of the Pi technique is to read aloud your vision everyday – once in the morning and once in the night. Manoj and Najoo say that when one affirms something and repeats it again and again, it begins to become a reality. Several hundred people have changed their lives – through this simple, profound understanding that whatever the mind and the tongue repeats, becomes a reality. Najoo shares her own personal awe-inspiring experience, when one evening she took a nap, and just could not wake up. A great weight crushed down her neck and head, and she simply could not get up. When rushed for an MRI, the doctor said it was a huge tumour, which due to its size and precarious positioning, could not be removed surgically. Najoo then started reiterating to herself that she was perfectly healthy and there was a solution to her medical problem. In a few days, the doctors, confused, gave the verdict that it was not a tumour. It was a tear of some important muscles, which did not allow the fluid from the brain to cushion the skull. Instead, it collected at the bottom, which gave it a tumour-like look. However, the Indian doctors said that unfortunately this condition too was untreatable. Najoo’s affirmations remained strong and to everyone’s surprise soon it was found that some doctors abroad could handle her case and successfully treat her. This was three months after the condition first took place. When she met the surgeons abroad they were stunned and told her, “No one can survive more than a few hours when they develop this condition! How did you manage three months?” Najoo smiled. She knew, firsthand, that the techniques of Pi could indeed create miracles.
