Dwapara Yuga Has Arrived

There is widespread misconception among Indian masses that we are passing through Kaliyuga, the period of lowest consciousness. It is said that we have crossed mere 5000 years of Kaliyuga and still 4,27,000 years still remain. Hence goes the mass belief that the period of miseries have just begun and everything will get far more worse, before it begins to get better. 

Sprouting of Optimism  

However, our own experience of life defies this Kaliyuga notion. Almost all parameters of life have been seem to be  getting better for past 100 years. We have seen the fruits of Industrial revolutions spurring the economy and even masses enjoying far more luxurious living. Just few hundred years back, while kings and nobles lived in the oasis of luxuries, masses reeled in abject poverty. Life expectancy have crossed 70 years and moving up consistently. This is in stark contrast to the fact that in Europe, one was expected to live only till the age of 29 in 15th century. Even though democracy has its own share of evils, yet it is far more dignified and empowering than the autocratic rule of kings. With the spread of education, many social evils like untouchability, sati tradition, inequality based on cast and gender are largely eradicated.  In general, it does not appear that things are getting worse. 

A Mystic’s Declaration

In1895, Sri Yuketshwara, one of the greatest spiritual mystic /  astrologers and guru of Sri Paramhamsa Yogananda (author of “Autobiography of a Yogi”) declared in his book “The Holy Sciences” that the Kaliyuga is over and Dwapara Yuga has already begun. He also suggested an astronomical model which could be the cause for changes in Yugas. Even though that model was invalidated later, it aroused immense curiosity among astronomers about the phenomenon of Yuga cycles. With the exploding astronomical knowledge in past few decades, the yuga cycles are being validated as based on a certain astronomical phenomenon. Astronomical evidences generated in recent past are already indicating that we are already in Dwapara Yuga. Even though this is not yet part of mainstream astronomy, it is expected that with more evidence flowing in, Yuga cycles will be scientifically validated. 

Mechanism of yuga Cycles

Classic Hindu texts mention the existence of Yuga cycles of 24,000 years, which are divided into two halves of descending and ascending yugas of equal duration. Each of these 12,000 years cycles are further divided into four periods of Sat yuga of 4800 yrs, Treta Yuga of 3600 yrs,  Dwapara Yuga of 2400 yrs and Kaliyuga of 1200 yrs. It is also mentioned that In Sat Yuga dharma stands on four legs, in Treta yuga three legs, in Dwapara Yuga two legs and in Kaliyuga just one leg. It means that consciousness goes on decreasing through the Descending Yuga cycle. The consciousness we experience in Kaliyuga is just one fourth of that experienced in Sat yuga. Once the descending phase of yuga cycle is over, the ascending phase begins with consciousness rising through Kaliyuga, Dwapara, Treta and finally peaking to Satyuga.

Consciousness is Nothing but Electro Magnetic Field (EMF)

Recent scientific theories e.g. Quantum Mechanics explains consciousness as electro magnetic field. We all have individual EMF, which leaves us at the time of death, and that is what has been called as Soul in spiritual terms. Similarly, the all-pervading EMF across all corners of cosmos has been termed as God. When individual EMF vibes in harmony with cosmic EMF, it becomes the phenomenon of “Merging with God”. 

Astronomical evidence now suggest that Yuga cycle of 24,000 years are nothing but the cycles of consciousness. Probably the EMF as experienced on earth varies in the ratio of 1:4 over this period of Yuga cycles. I am presenting in this article, what this astronomical cycle is, though because of the space constraints, it wont be possible to provide evidences towards this.  Those who want to understand this phenomenon in detail, are invited to attend the seminar “Dwapara Yuga Has Arrived”, where I would be presenting the evidences in some depth. 

Sun Sirius Cycle – Phenomenon of Yugas

Most of the time cycles such as day, Lunar month, year etc. have a foundation in some or other astronomical cycle, e.g. Earth making one full round of Sun constitute an year, which causes the variation of seasons. Similarly, there must be some astronomical phenomenon behind Yuga cycles too. 

Now it is becoming evident that Sun is not stationary as believed previously, but it moves in cycle with its Binary partner - Star system called Sirius. And this cycle lasts 24000 years. During this cycle for half of the period  Sun and Sirius comes closer forming the Ascending phase and during the other half, Sun and Sirius move farther to each other, forming the Descending phase Yuga cycle. This cycle is apparent in the figure shown.  During Sat Yuga, both these stars are closest to each other and during Kaliyuga, they are at the farthest. 

Ascending Yuga- Sun Sirius Getting Closer

We are already in Ascending Phase of Yuga cycle. Wonderful evidence for this is provided by Doppler effect. It mentions that stars moving away from earth appear Red and those moving closer appear Blue. Most of the stars in night skies appear Red, because the expanding universe causes the stars to move away from earth. However, Sirius is the brightest Blue star in skies, that means it is coming closer to earth and hence we are in ascending Yuga now.  The famous astronomer, Claudius Ptolemy in his famous astronomy textbook “Almagest”, written almost 2000 years back,  described Sirius as reddish. That means, 2000 years back, Sirius was going away from earth and we were in Descending yuga then. Multiple Chinese and Arabic texts written around 7th century describe Sirius as white in hue, that means Sirius was almost stationary in motion, which happens at the Bottom of the cycle. This is in tune with Sri Yukteshwara’s proclamation that Bottom of Kaliyuga was hit sometime in 6th century AD. 

Sirius C- Vast EMF Influencer

Now the important question is- Why the varying distance between Sun and Sirius, should cause the fluctuations in consciousness / electro magnetic field. Lets look into the EMF details of Sirius star system, comprising of three stars- Sirius A, Sirius B and Sirius C. Sirius A has magnetic fields of around 50 G (Gauss), which is almost in the range of Sun’s EMF of 5-20 G and Earth’s surface EMF of around 1 G. Sirius B is a star classified as white dwarf with EMF in the range of 1 Million G. Even though such a EMF is quite huge in comparison to that of Sun and Earth, yet it cant have make a huge difference on Earth’s EMF, from the distance of around 8.6 Light years.

Even though Sirius C has never been spotted, evidence of its existence is provided by the massive influence it has on the orbital characteristics of Sirius A and B. Chances are that it is a Neutron star, which are extremely small of around 10 kms, with a mass of around 1.5 times that of Sun. These stars are also extremely dark, almost like Black holes and hence they are impossible to spot. Typical EMF of Neutron star in around 1 Trillion G, which is simply huge and can cause substantial variation on Earth even from such a huge distance. If the farthest distance between Sun and Sirius is double than that of closest distance, the EMF experienced because of Sirius will vary four times, as EMF is inversely proportional to square of the distance. Hence it can be understood that variation of distance between Sun and Sirius over a period of Yuga cycle of 24,000 years will result into huge swings of Electro Magnetic Fields and hence the variation in consciousness. 

Consciousness- The Force of Oneness

During the times of high consciousness, there is a strong sense of oneness between all entities including humans, nature, animal and even the divine beings, hence there is a deep harmony. When the consciousness begins to deteriorate, all beings begin to feel separation from each other and causing all kind of conflicts. In higher consciousness times, humans deeply care for each other and they operate from creative motivations. Even divine beings feel close to high conscious humans and they operate almost in partnership. Nature manifests the divine aspect and hence all kind of disasters are almost absent. Humans value love much more than outer possessions and hence the society is largely peaceful and happy. 

Sat Yuga is known to be the times of perfect harmony and goodwill. Even nature produced enough food for everyone. No one had to toil hard for survival, and work was as enjoyable as play. Humans could easily make sense of world and hence no wonder Upanishads, the most insightful and mysterious of all spiritual texts,  were written during this period. By the dawn of Treta Yuga, the experience of divinity did not remain so easy. Yet, one could concentrate and still experience the creative aspect of divine. That is why, Vedas were written during this period and  Brahma, the creator God, was the most worshipped deity. As one chanted Vedic Mantras, the gods and goddesses descended from heavens and partnered with humans in their day to day life. In Dwpara Yuga, consciousness deteriorated further, and evil forces began to snatch the power from conscious beings. That is why Krishna, the highest manifestation of preserver God Vishnu, incarnated in these times, so as to assure the victory of good over evil. Then came Kaliyuga, the times of ebbing consciousness. Buddha, the 9th incarnation of Vishnu, descended to impart the message to conscious forces, that they should just escape the world and focus on cleaning themselves of their Karma. In the times of Kaliyuga, the evil was so powerful, that it was not possible for conscious forces to resist that and the best way for them to survive was to minimize their role in the world. It was during Kaliyuga that sub conscious became far more powerful then conscious. That is why Rudra / Mahesh, the fierce form of Shiva, became the most worshipped deity, as only he could ensure the survival in such tough times, by helping conscious people cultivate the awareness and keeping control over evil forces. 

Ascending Yuga- The Era of New Creation

Currently, whatever we know of the human history, almost totally belongs to the Descending phase. Since consciousness consistently deteriorates with time In descending Yuga, the past is always better than the future. Hence the focus is on preserving the ancient and traditional values.  On the contrary, during ascending yuga consciousness is always rising and hence future is always brighter than the past. No wonder, as we have entered Ascending Yuga, we witness the clash between the new and the old. Past institutions of religion, governance, society, family, education, were created during descending yugas, and their core focus was to help us survive the tough times. With the dawn of ascending yugas, we no more want to remain tied to our past and the new is longing to be born. Such a shift of focus is indeed chaotic, as we are witnessing around us. Yet this chaos is not bad, it is rather a harbinger of much better times ahead.   

Ascending Dwapara Yuga- Clash of Ancient v/s New Creation

We Indians feel strong association of Dwapara with Krishna. Hence when it is mentioned that Dwapara yuga has arrived, many tend to think that it is going to be very similar to the one in which Krishna was born and the epic war of Mahabharata was fought. However, such an assumption could be misleading. Even though there might be a few similarities, but there are many contrasts too. The key feature of both the Dwapara yuga is the struggle between good and bad, through with finally the good emerges victorious. However, the nature of struggle is quite different. 

During descending Dwapara yuga, conscious forces already dominated the evil forces, and hence the task was to ensure the continuation of the order. While the conscious forces endeavored to preserve the old traditions and values, evil forces tried to disrupt the order. The biggest difference of both these era is, there was hardly any sub conscious conditioning to deal with during descending Dwapara, but in ascending Dwapara, humanity faces the huge challenge of highly conditioned individual and collective sub conscious generated over the long period of Kaliyuga. During Ascending consciousness, future is always better than past, hence the conscious forces long to create something new, rather than holding on to the past. Hence Ascending Dwapara will witness springing up of utopian spiritual, social and family institutions which facilitate the unleashing of individual and collective creative potential. No wonder, with the beginning of ASCENDING Yuga, we are witnessing this huge conflict between traditional forces that want to linger on to the traditions and the Utopian forces, that want to create something totally radical and new. Even though traditional forces appear very strong currently, we will witness that slowly but surely the Utopian forces will take over and emerge victorious over this illustrious period of Ascending Dwapara Yuga.
