The heart medicine I have been taking since 1997 has had a serious effect on my kidneys, increased the uric level in my blood, and signalled the onset of diabetes. My ECG also showed that my heart was skipping a beat, which was a matter of great concern,” says Raj Orke, a businessman from Mumbai.
Rimisha Prajapati, a school teacher living in Mumbai, had only one dream. A beautiful home of her own. But in Mumbai that was easier said than done, and despair was pinching at Rimisha’s heart.
Jyoti Matange, a music teacher by profession, suffered from diabetes, a condition that is almost an epidemic in India. Jyoti worried about its impact on her body in the long run, but there seemed to be no way out.
Stress. It is the number one killer of our times. Modern times challenge us in innumerable ways. These challenges could be as serious as a financial crisis, relationship issues, health problems, or as minor as traffic jams, meeting deadlines, and the maid servant going on leave.
Over time our relentless stress levels manifest in emotional or physical ailments, which become yet another source of stress. What is common to all stress triggers is that they cause an immediate change in the breathing pattern, followed by the release of stress hormones in the blood stream. These, in turn, interfere with the normal functions of various organs, creating havoc inside our body leading to various lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, BP, insomnia, anxiety and depression.
If we wish to reverse or stop this process, the key factor is our breath. Our body gets the energy to purify itself, eliminate toxins and stresses, and heal, because of our breath. The fact is astonishing: 70 per cent of our metabolic waste is eliminated through breathing; the balance 30 per cent is eliminated through perspiration (19 per cent), urination (eight per cent) and defecation (three per cent). Yet very few of us pay attention to our breathing. Correct breathing allows us to access unlimited amounts of energy, which the body can use to repair the ravages of stress.
Santosh Joshi, founder of the popular healing technique, SKY, and author of the best-seller, Keys, claims that in just 12 minutes a day, we can heal ourselves of the deleterious effects of stress and attain physical, emotional and mental well-being.
So what exactly does SKY do? Santosh explains, “The SKY technique starts with stimulation and sending impulses through the meridians and central nervous system to the physical body and our major organs. This helps to calm the body, allowing it to heal naturally. This is followed by sets of rhythmic breathing patterns. The technique concludes with visualisation. The entire technique can be completed in 12 minutes.”
SKY makes use of one’s own energy meridians and breath to form a powerful tool to heal oneself. This technique is based on the premise that we all have extremely potent healing power within us to help us remain healthy and in harmony with ourselves. A combination of ancient therapies with modern healing practices, it is reportedly remarkably effective. Santosh says, “Even though the technique is of a short duration, SKY has the same effect as an hour of deep meditation. SKY brings harmony in our body, mind and soul.”
Raj Orke is today a happy man. Says he, “After doing the SKY workshop, I kept practising the technique with utmost regularity and faith. I firmly believe that this kept my sanity intact and helped me withstand the anxiety of developing a heart condition, which would have otherwise dealt a massive blow to my weak heart. Last weekend, I underwent independent blood tests and ECG, and was surprised to find the reports saying that everything is normal.”
As for Rimisha, one month after doing the SKY workshop, during which she diligently did the visualisation and affirmation, her dream came true. “I am now a proud owner of my dream house. I give the entire credit to SKY,” she enthuses.
Jyoti Matange too, is a beneficiary. “SKY Healing has brought my blood sugar to normal levels. I am also happier than before!”
“SKY healing has healed my throat infection miraculously,” says Sridevi Madur from Hyderabad, adding, “My daughter Ankita also healed from the same condition instantly. The pain and fever vanished without taking any medicine.”
One of the regiments of the Indian Army has incorporated this 12-minute technique as a part of their mandatory morning drill.
Says Santosh, “There is a second level to this technique too. The level two technique is even briefer at nine minutes. This is even more powerful as it activates the five elements of the body along with the energy centres. This level helps in inner cleansing. Having practised the first two levels, one becomes eligible to be a SKY teacher.”
SKY appears to reinforce the saying that good things come in small packages.
You can experience the boundless possibilities of SKY level one and two at the Sky Retreat organised by Life Positive Foundation on July 2, 3 and 4.
