Akila Jaikumar reports on the second annual convention of the Association of Regression and Reincarnation Research.

The second annual convention of the Association of Regression and Reincarnation Research (ARRR) was held at Hyderabad from Aug 3 to 5, 2012. Keynote addresses from Dr Newton Kondaveti on Past-life Regression (PLR) Essentials, Andy Tomlinson from UK on Our Eternal Souls, and Christine Alisa from US on the special care needed while doing PLR with children, served as the highlight sessions each day. Dr Newton emphasised the key points of the PLR process, and the importance of receiving complete training for a PLR therapist. His enthusiasm to integrate PLR with mainstream medical practice was infectious.

Christine Alisa, a practising therapist with children for over 25 years in the US, demonstrated how to win over the trust of children, without breaking down their defence systems, and how to help a child reframe a traumatic experience. Andy Tomlinson, who is a founder member of the Spiritual Regression Therapy Association, and of the European Association of Regression Therapy, touched upon the LBL (life before life) states, where the soul makes the next-life soul-plan in consultation with guides/masters.

Arun Jain had the audience dancing to his delightful meditative music, taking them from a trance to a transcendental state. Deepika Talwar used clay as a meditative exercise to encourage participants to explore their inner child, and create wonderful works of art. In her mini workshop on Integration Methods with Regression Therapy for Healing, Reena Kumarasingham, Director of Divine Aspect, UK, highlighted integration techniques like inner child therapy, parts therapy, essential oils, crystals, and homoeopathic medicines in regression. ‘Making our ‘unconscious’ conscious, helps to reduce and heal the Collective Unconscious,’ urged Chitra Jha.

Jayesh Shah demonstrated the benefits of PLR with homoeopathy and subtle polarities. Dr Uday Shah enthralled the audience with his aura photographs of a subject undergoing a PLR session. Dr Trupti Jayin allowed participants to draw pictures to their heart’s content to explore their past lives.

Ranjini Bannerjee explained how to release karmic patterns through soul communication. Surekha Kothari covered practical aspects of chakra cleansing. Surekha Sengupta gave tips on how to handle cases of xenoglossia (speaking in a language not previously known to the subject) seen in some PLR sessions. Yoga in the context of PLR was covered by Dr Manjiree Vikas Gokhale. Kiran Anumalasetty spoke of his experiences with PLR in pregnancy and birth communication. The theme of the convention was aptly chosen as ‘Integration.’ In PLR, the resolution of unhelpful patterns from previous lives occurs only when we can change our ways by integrating the insights and messages gained during the PLR session.
