Excellent issue
The December 2021 issue of Life Positive was a treasure trove of exceptionally well-curated articles. It had the right combination of articles for young and old alike.
I especially liked the article Choose your better half for a better life by Swami Mukundanandaji. In the current times, when the young generation has the opportunity to select life partners on their own, it only makes sense that they get sage advice from their elders about what to look for in a prospective mate, how to select them, and what qualities to develop in oneself to be able to choose wisely. I gave this article to my 21-year-old daughter who is pursuing her MBA so that she does not get carried away by emotions while choosing her future partner.
The article Combat the Climate Crisis made me feel very concerned about Mother Earth and the future of mankind. I felt that we are sitting on a time bomb which can explode anytime. As humans, we must take urgent measures to decrease our carbon footprint, save water, and adopt eco-friendly practices.
I was also happy to read the article on the Upanishads. A nicely packaged article on ancient Hindu philosophy will certainly give a good grounding to all the readers of Life Positive.
Good going, team Life Positive.

Life Positive, as always, has offered a bouquet of wellness and positivity to us in the December 2021 issue. While the ancient wisdom of the seers is reflected in the article on the Upanishads, the climate change article shows us what we can do to preserve Mother Earth. The cover story teaches us how to build our resilience. With all this, we end this year looking forward to a new beginning in the new year.

Learning from kith and kin
I particularly liked the article Resilience: Roll with the punches by Suma Varughese in the December 2021 e-magazine of Life Positive. The best point made by Suma, which I resonated with, was that we can learn from someone resilient in our own family. We are so busy looking for faults in our family members that their virtues and good qualities often escape us. When family members come together, they mostly gossip about other family members.
If we talked about what was good in others, there is a greater chance of us developing a healthy bond with them and learning so much from them. Many of them have withstood tremendous life challenges with a smile on their face. There is a lot to learn from our surroundings if only we open our eyes.

Winning article!
Apropos of the article How to be a winner by Shivi Verma in the December 2021issue, I think it was a very timely read for me. I was feeling depressed and felt that I could never make it in life. This article filled me with hope and the belief that all was not lost and that I could still bounce back. The best advice was to choose one’s company wisely. I think I must avoid friends who, in the name of joking, often pull me down and hurt my self-esteem. I find it difficult to confront them because they then pull me up for my lack of sense of humour. But now I know better.
Thank you, Life Positive.

Refreshing honesty
I loved the article Transcending the ego written by Arun A K. I admire the honesty, transparency, and authenticity with which it was written. It takes tremendous courage to bare oneself, admit one’s mistakes, and share their life stories with the world. This is exactly what Mr. Arun did, and that too so well. I agree with almost everything he said about relationships and one’s acceptance of oneself, contributing to the success of any relationship. Entering a relationship with genuineness, openness, self-love, and embracing the flaws of the other is the secret recipe to a truly successful relationship, as Arun shared it with all of us. I am inspired and ready to dive deep into a new relationship without fear and judgements. Thank you, Life Positive for publishing such raw and endearing articles. I am a big fan.
