June 2023
Now’s the time for family time It was wonderful to read the article The World is One Family by Sujatha Rao in the May 2023 issue of Life Positive. The author has wonderfully brought out all aspects of a family and has also made us understand its importance in today’s day and age. With even the United Nations recognising this, it is time we all go back to the Vedic adage, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. With so many issues happening all over the world, it is recognising this that will make the world happy, healthy, and wise again. It may take a little while, but I am sure it shall happen soon.

My father always used to tell me to never underestimate the power of the family. This has been brought out by Sujatha Rao very well in her article, The World is One Family, in the May 2023 issue, where she enumerates the strengths of the family in all areas. More than international recognition by the UN, I like her depiction of all the social and human aspects of the family structure, which truly made me introspect and think about this important aspect of our lives. With too much activity outside, I resolved to give more time and energy to my family, beginning now. Thank you, Sujatha Rao and Life Positive, for this great article.

Uplifting holistic article
It was wonderful to read the article The Interconnected Path to Wellness by C P Kumar in the May 2023 issue of Life Positive. The author describes many therapies, personal growth, and spirituality seamlessly, asking all readers to work on themselves to grow in all areas. He has brought out the bigger picture of life in a clear, concise, and yet complete manner. I loved his writing on spirituality, with the exploration of questions such as ‘What is the meaning of life?’ and ‘What is my purpose in this world?’ and on including meditation, prayer, yoga, and mindfulness in our gambit of life.

We have always known that life needs to be led taking into account various aspects together. In his article, The Interconnected Path to Wellness, in the May 2023 issue, Mr C P Kumar brings this out wonderfully and clearly by including therapies, positive thinking, and spirituality and its essence. This has had an impact on me, and I shall surely work on myself keeping all these aspects in mind. Thanks, Life Positive, for this great article.

Mudra magic
There are many techniques which we have forgotten, and I thank Life Positive for bringing them to our attention again. A case in point is the inclusion of articles on mudras.
I find them very empowering. I took them lightly at first but then explored them after a while. Now, I have made it a part of my daily routine and have found a lot of improvement in all areas. I have also told my friends and family too about it, and many have thanked me for introducing them to this simple, doable
therapy that people have forgotten.

Positive change
The article on ahimsa, Towards Absolute Harmlessness, in the May 2023 issue of Life Positive was great. I am a Jain but did not understand this core principle of Jainism completely. I used to think it is not practical to practise isst in everyday life. Life Positive has transformed me completely in this area through this article, and I thank them for it. Suma Varughese has done a wonderful exploration of this principle, showing both the empowering and spiritual power when we make it a part of our lives. With stories and experiences, she has indeed made me vow to make true ahimsa a part of my life.
