Sambodh Dhyan—a way to connect with the Divine
Dadashreeji explains that you can follow any spiritual path which helps you unite with the Divine, Sambodh Dhyan being one such effective meditation process
Disappointed student Ramakant asked the Divine Master, “Why haven’t I seen God yet? Every day, I climb up Krishnapuri to see God, but always in vain.” In the mountains of Dunagiri, the Divine Master had instructed His students to practice spiritual lessons for Self-realisation. One was supposed to sit, meditate, and chant the mantra. Immature Ramakant felt that he would experience Lord Krishna directly by practising spiritual lessons at the top of the mountain Krishnapuri, a few kilometres away from their ashram. He was expecting a quick result, through his own innovative way.
The Divine Master lovingly replied, “My child! You do not have to climb up to experience God. The Divine resides in your heart. If God wants to appear, He will appear in your heart.”
“You are required to transform your being into Krishnapuri and not to travel there. Your consciousness has to be in sync with His consciousness.” Ramakant learnt his lesson.
Impatience makes the seeker alter his spiritual path. Every seeker must remember to consciously bring change in oneself. It is not a one-time act; it’s a continuous process. You have to learn to elevate your level of awareness so that you see and experience the truth for yourself. Seekers invariably become imprudent with their lack of clarity about the purpose of all spiritual practices.
The common purpose of all spiritual practices is to unite with the Divine. To grow spiritually, you need to connect with your Deity first. Unless there is a live connection between the seeker and the Giver, no practices or prayers will help. It is like running a marathon without training. So, first start with the basic step: focus on developing a Divine connection instead of exploring new ways. Follow any path of your choice that will help you establish your connection with your Deity.
Sambodh Dhyan is one such simple and highly effective meditation process, which effectively aligns your consciousness with the Divine. Its practice is a benign, unifying, constructive, liberating Divine process. This process subtly turns into passive mode from an active one, allowing the Divine to enhance your spiritual growth. Since Sambodh Dhyan works mainly around the brain, neurobiological and perceptual changes are noticed within the practitioner. The seeker experiences improved functional coordination between different regions of the brain and integration between different spiritual centres located therein.
The stepwise progression of this meditation process dissolves the physical dimension into the Divine one. The level of awareness gets elevated to a higher level in order to connect with the Divine. Transforming experiences follow spontaneously. Life becomes effortlessly simple. You become simple.
