Thrilled at the festival
Tripta Dewan, a Life Positive aficionado, attended the Life Positive International Spiritual Festival in March last year and gave it rave reviews. We are reproducing the letter that she sent to our office, after having an amazing time with us.
I do not have words to describe the amazing experience I had at the International Spiritual Festival held on the 16th, 17th, and 18th of March at Zorba the Buddha, New Delhi, presented by Life Positive Foundation. The happiness and the joy which embraced us for those three days has its lingering flavour even now! It was fascinating to see the skills and capabilities of our mentors and teachers and their keen desire to help us. There were many sessions to choose from, ranging from wellness to spirituality, health to fitness, and healing to therapies. I will share my experience from the workshops that I attended and the sharing from the other workshops’ participants with whom I interacted during our breaks.
The first day
On the first day, there was an inaugural talk by Sister BK Shivani, who needs no introduction. She is a beacon of profound yet practical wisdom, which she shared with us through her interactive lecture. I had goosebumps the moment she entered the room! She spoke about the higher and lower frequencies of the world and how we contribute to the lower ones by not resolving issues and by brewing over negative thoughts. She explained how we create rejection in this lifetime and enter another womb with rejection. She emphasised accepting people as they are and having the power to stand alone and make a change. Acceptance was the keyword, as it was reiterated in other sessions too. The afternoon session was taken by famous past life regression therapist Dr Trupti Jayin. She explained different types of karma and how they lead to delusion. We learnt about the alpha, beta, gamma, and delta frequencies of the conscious and unconscious mind. We were made to go into our past lives and most of us had some experiences to share!
The second day
The second day started with Dr Ajay Mishra, who specialises in colour therapy, acupressure, and acupuncture. Dr Ajay gave us notes on ten elements, how they are associated with the corresponding fingers, and how any disease happens due to an increase or decrease of these elements in our body. He shared, that by applying different colours to the specified areas of the fingers, we can get rid of most of the diseases. Immediate relief was felt for pain in the neck, shoulder, knees, and head areas of the participants (including mine). It was truly amazing! He shared various examples where he had treated many chronic ailments. The next session was taken by famous Dr Seema Midha, who is an expert in various alternative modalities like tarot reading, numerology, and occult sciences. I would say she is a Life Designer! She taught us numerology in her session. As mathematics had always created fear in me, I was very apprehensive. However, it was made so easy and interesting that we all loved it and enjoyed it thoroughly. She taught us how to know yourself by calculating psychic, destiny, and kuan numbers. With the help of the magic square, one can decipher mental, spiritual, and practical aspects of oneself. It was also intriguing to know the association of planets with numbers. She talked about how by changing the digits of our mobile numbers, changes reflect in our lives.
The third day
On the third day, I chose to attend the full day session with the Sharma couple on ‘Disease is Impossible.’ It was the most interesting session as Dr Sharma peppered his discussion with his deep and meaningful poetry. I could see everyone nodding their heads while he was talking about lifestyle and food. He rightly said that health is our inherent nature, and health is already in you, but a lot of things are depleting it. He explained at three levels—soul, mind, and physiological—and said that the mind is the biggest disease creator! Unhappy feelings cloud our subconscious mind and hence glands begin to shrink, secreting poisonous hormones, thus bringing the immune system down. He advised us not to be time-bound when it came to eating. “Eat when you are hungry,” he said. He also specified that hunger is not a disease and real hunger does not need any palate ticklers. He shared about various food combinations one should avoid, talked about how mother’s milk is very important, and emphasised on having raw food—nuts, salads and fruits. Mrs Sharma made us dance too, measured our spiritual energy, and demonstrated that with certain food and prayers, the energy can be increased to one’s benefit. “Mazza aa gaya” (This was awesome!) was the slogan given by Dr Sharma, which automatically became ours too. His lecture felt like we were satiated with spiritual food.
A great festival of spirit
It was aptly named the Spiritual Festival! Every session we attended had a spiritual message or the undertone of one. For instance, Dr Jayin emphasised on good deeds and being satisfied with the bare minimum. She also explained how anger, attachment, fear and hatred lead to accumulation of bad karma. Dr Mishra showed how hypersensitivity transforms into allergic reactions in people, affecting their nervous system; but, if channelised in the right direction, it can be used for awakening their sixth sense for better causes. He shared that rigidness is the reason for stiff joints, and suppressed anger causes liver ailments apart from other ones. Dr Midha said that one must appreciate others as much as you can (even how someone dresses) and let happiness spread around. Her smiling face lightened the atmosphere. Dr Sharma’s talk felt like a joyous satsang. He said we are always moving with expectation bowls like beggars, which leads to misery, suffering, and diseases.
As if these sessions were not already enough to take us to a happy state, the ambience of Zorba just floored us along with the divine food served with so much love and care. It wasn’t just nutritive but tasty too! This symphony was so beautifully orchestrated that I was in a bliss zone all the time. So thank you, everyone!
