The author interviews Rasha, who has been channelling oneness, to find out how you can connect with your own divinity
I met Rasha in Bangalore a couple of months ago. I was struck by her radiance. Her flowing white dress and long dark tresses made a pretty picture. I have never seen any angels, but Rasha came close to looking like one. I was mesmerised, and then I heard her speak. Her voice was like gentle bells, ringing in the distance. Her guided meditations took me to a different dimension. I was floored by the power of her grace.
An American by birth who has made India her home, Rasha prefers to live like a recluse. However, her work as an author, and a channel of ‘Oneness,’ requires her to come out of her hibernation every now and then. She has chanelled the book The Divine Wisdom of Oneness. During one emergence, she graciously agreed to answer some of questions for Life Positive.
What is the philosophy that you are promoting?
The wisdom of Oneness is not a philosophy. It’s an intensive glimpse into the inner workings of our lives and our world. These teachings help us to understand what is actually going on in these times, and give us real insight into where we are headed, both individually and collectively. We begin to see the change happening all around us, as an opportunity to transform our lives. We learn how to make the most of the accellerated energy that is driving it. Ultimately, we recognise the divine unity guiding the entire process, and recognise ourselves as an integral part of that Oneness.
How did you begin to channel Oneness?
I am told that I volunteered at some level, to be a divine messenger in this lifetime, although I surely do not remember signing up for it! Yet, when the time was right, my first spiritual teachers emerged from within, and in 1987, I began transcribing divine guidance, word for word, like a secretary taking dictation. I was carefully taught, first by Lord Rama, and later by an aspect of Lord Shiva, known to me as Amitabh, how to get my own mind out of the way, and to transcribe divine teachings accurately, straight onto a computer. My work with Oneness began in 1998, quite unexpectedly. Prior to that, I would not have been ready for the magnitude of the presence of Oneness, who many refer to as God, or able to fathom what was actually happening within me.
How do you channel Oneness?
As in all things, our intention and the focus of our attention determine our experience. Somehow, when the intention is set to connect with the presence I have come to know as ‘Oneness’, my perception of myself as ‘Rasha’ dissolves into another octave of awareness. In those moments when the writing takes place, the ‘Rasha’ identity has no self-perception at all. The sense of presence in this body shifts, and I perceive Oneness as myself. Afterward, it is as though ‘Rasha’ reads what has been written for the first time.

Can everyone become a channel for the Divine?
To recognise and experience our own divine connection is the birthright of each one of us. In these times, many are destined to have that experience and to realise who they really are. Relatively few will choose to dedicate their lives to transcribing books of Divine guidance, although technically speaking everything is possible.
Do you have any connection with the Oneness Univercity?
Suddenly, it seems like teachers and authors everywhere are using the word ‘oneness.’ No one has exclusive rights to that word, in the same way that no one has exclusive rights to the word ‘God’. It is a name the Supreme Divine Power has chosen to use in these times. It is recognised equally by people of all backgrounds. My personal connection with Oneness and the teachings I have received are my own. There is no connection whatsoever between my work and any other teacher or organisation that may also be using the word ‘oneness’.
Oneness is the crux of spiritual truth, and in India is considered the heart of the Vedas. Do you fi nd that people are receptive to this truth?
The concept of Oneness is the essence of all spiritual wisdom. Virtually every traditional spiritual path is designed to deliver us to this same place of understanding. Ultimately, all of them lead us to discover that the divine connectedness we long for, is right there within us, and has been there all along. In these times, people everywhere are beginning to have a taste of that experience, even if it is only for a fleeting instant. It can happen when you are enjoying the beauty of nature, or during meditation or prayer. It is a moment when you know that you have been touched by something for which there are no words, something indescribable, and holy. After that moment, there is no longer a question of whether or not you believe in a higher power. You know. You have had the actual experience of it yourself. For some, that experience encompasses a sense of Oneness with all life. People everywhere are opening up to the possibility of having that kind of experience.
What according to you is enlightenment?
‘Enlightenment’ is another of those words that is now being used loosely by many people to mean many different things. When one is enlightened, it does not mean that one has simply awakened, and has now become more aware, or more conscious. When one is enlightened, one perceives the presence of Oneness (aka ‘God’) as oneself.
How do you become enlightened?
The teachings of Oneness tell us that no two spiritual journeys are alike. The spiritual journey of each of us is as unique as a fingerprint. There are no right, or wrong paths to the experience of Oneness with your own divinity, and none that is the most direct. Choose the path that resonates as truth, and feels good to you. Or set out on a path that no one has ever walked before. The choice is yours to make. Open your heart to the possibility of your own divine connection, and let your heart lead the way.
How do you see these times?
The teachings of Oneness prepare us to recognise the inevitability of a world in flux, and to be able to see those changes as part of a bigger picture. The times of transformation that have been prophesied by sages and seers over the centuries, are now at hand. That level of upheaval is not something to be feared, though the circumstances may challenge us. These times are an opportunity to put into practice our understanding of how we are all creating our lives, and our world, vibrationally, and to strengthen those skills. It is a chance to demonstrate to ourselves, through our day-to-day choices, that the responsibility for what happens in our lives is our own. Ultimately, these times provide the proof that each of us really does make a difference.
How do you see the future?
Oneness has shown us that we are empowered to transform our lives and our world in ways we have never dreamed. There are no limits to what is possible, even in times of cataclysmic change. The future we will all share, is being cocreated by each of us in this ‘now’ moment. It is not something that will simply happen to us. Life as we know it may come crumbling to our feet – or not. However, our individual experience of those conditions is something each of us is orchestrating vibrationally, with our choices, in every ongoing moment. Understanding the dynamics of how that works and choosing to put those understandings into practice, in every ongoing moment, is the key to maximising the experience each of us can have in the times to come, regardless of the circumstances that may be happening all around us.
What are the signs and symptoms of the ascension process?
Ascension is a universal motion that is ongoing, and always has been. But, in these times, that process has accellerated to the point that it’s noticeable. For example, many of us have become aware that the circumstances of life seem to be changing more quickly now. That is because the vibrational frequency all around us, which carries the components of life into manifestation, is significantly higher. Now, the time lag between the inception of a thought and its manifestation as an event can be almost instantaneous. And we start to see the connection. We begin to actually witness the creation of reality, in action. Often, in these times, we can simply think of something, and almost immediately, it happens. We realise, in those moments, that it was not just a coincidence. Whereas, only a generation ago, when we were at a much lower vibrational level, it took a lot longer for circumstances to come into manifestation. Therefore, it was harder for us to recognise what was actually happening. Now, our own lives have become vivid illustrations that we really are creating all of it.
How can we achieve our highest potential?
It is important to remember, in these times of rapidly accelerating vibrational frequency that everything in our lives, and our world, is made up of energy. Those levels of energy determine what, out of an infinite number of possible outcomes, we get to experience as having happened. In order to achieve our highest potential, keeping our energy field as high as possible becomes top priority. How best to do that is a huge subject. The 400- page book I transcribed, The Divine Wisdom of Oneness, explores this subject and gives us a detailed road map to that very destination.
What is your mission in life?
There is no sense of a mission per se, simply a sense of allowing life to unfold, grateful to be present in these amazing times and happy to play my part in the orchestra.
What have you learned from India and what do you have to offer it?
Over the years, I have come to see India as a living illustration of what it means to live in the ‘now’ moment. Here, there seems to be more of an acceptance of what is, whereas, in the West, people often seem consumed with the idea of how life is supposed to be. There, people tend to focus on the so-called rules that society has superimposed upon every aspect of life, and often act according to what they think should be taking place rather than how things actually are. Here in India, everyday life trains you to be resourceful and to anticipate the unexpected.
A perfect example of this is the way people drive in India. To a western eye, it is terrifying. Nothing goes the way the western mind expects it to. And yet, when you look carefully at what’s actually happening, you see that what appears as utter chaos forces us to be fully present here and to respond according to what is actually happening, not according to what we assume will happen next. It is powerful training. In addition, it illustrates the divine symbolism in even the most improbable situations.
What is your message to our readers?
We are all powerful beyond anything we may ever have imagined. We have the tools to totally transform our lives and our world. Not someday, but right now. The opportunity in these times is not simply to believe it, because we have read about it in books, or heard words of wisdom spoken by the teachers amongst us. The opportunity is to know it, from your own first-hand experience. You are Oneness. As are we all.
