Moving towards wellness with victory over the gut
It is often said that when challenges hit us, we can either become victors or victims. The choice is upto us. Mr Vijay Kumar M Jaiswal, now in Hyderabad, who is 67 shows us not just that age is just a number for new beginnings and overcoming any kind of challenge. His story as told to Jamuna Rangachari is given below.
My health journey has been a long and challenging one. In 1990, I started experiencing severe back and hip pain. I consulted numerous doctors, specialists, and practitioners, but found no lasting relief.
In 1998, I was diagnosed with fatty liver, high triglycerides, high LDL, and ankylosing spondylitis at NIMS, a renowned research institute in Hyderabad. Surgery was recommended, but I refused. Instead, I was prescribed medicine for life. However, when I noticed the side effects, I immediately stopped taking it.
That's when I discovered Baba Ramdev's teachings on natural healing. His emphasis on weight management, raw salads, fruits, and sprouts resonated with me. I started following his advice and lost 22 kgs, reducing my weight from 86 kgs to 64 kgs. My symptoms started fading away, except for the back pain.
In 2016, I explored the DIP Protocol. The Disciplined & Intelligent People's Diet, is a plant-based dietary system developed by Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury and started having only one meal a day by 6 pm.This helped me manage my pain and maintain my weight. I continued this lifestyle until 2020 when I heard about the NDS or new diet system.
Although I couldn't concentrate on it initially due to personal reasons, including the loss of my spouse in July 2023, I later decided to attend the Grape seminar in Nasik from February 26 to March 2, 2025. This turned out to be a game-changer in my life.
The teachings and Sanjeevani Kriya were exceptional. After the seminar, I felt so vibrant and energetic that I drove 840 kms non-stop back home. My health parameters are now excellent. I've observed that the NDS diet fulfills nutritional deficiencies, and Sanjeevani Kriya enhances absorption.
I'm committed to following this lifestyle and sharing its benefits with others. I'd like to express my gratitude to the NDS team and Shri B V Chauhan sir for his exceptional speeches.
Since then, I have guided many and seen results even in cancer patients.
I hope my experience inspires others to explore the NDS diet system and experience its benefits.
The main insight I have seen in all my experiences is that the gut leads to disease and managing is something we all should do for wellness.
Some simple tips everyone can explore now itself, no matter which system they follow are -

Eliminate sugar or at least minimise it

Have more raw food like salads and fruits

Maintain a diet schedule where you avoid eating anything after 6 or 7, earlier the better.
