Focus on the divine and never lose faith
It is said that the Divine is always present within us and all we need to do is keep our faith in this power as strong as possible no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in
Recently, my husband and I saw a web series that showed how a journalist suffered for many years in jail as an accused of a murder despite being innocent. The process in the courts took a long time with many twists and turns which is what the web series showed us. This was said to be based on a true story compiled in a book. The real person said in an interview that despite being connected to many people, the only thing that kept her going while in jail was thoughts of her family and connecting to the Divine everyday.
Another similar incident is that of my friend who was stranded in a new town all alone having lost all her things including her money, credit cards and mobile phone. She did report to the police but did not even have an address to furnish to them. She then sat in the police station and kept praying quietly. At this time, a min-i miracle took place when a kind police officer asked her to think of any friend or family member of hers and asked her to stay with his family till they came to take her home. One thing led to another and finally, my friend although lost her money, but found a wonderful brother to whom she still sends a Rakhi every year.
This incident has made her start believing in the Divine more than ever before. She keeps thanking her mother for teaching her the prayer and making her believe in a higher power since childhood.
These incidents bring home the fact that it is always inner power that we need to rely on for eternal strength and courage. No knowledge, no money, no connections can ever give us as much power as this can. Added to this is the faith that we shall always be taken care of by our Creator though we may not know the exact time when this will happen.
There are many more of course that we see all around us in the journey of our lives. A single mother working to ensure her children are well educated with faith in the Divine, a family coming to the hospital every day with the faith that a child with a life-threatening ailment will recover and so on. Everywhere, the only power we have is in prayer and/or affirmations.
This may or may not change things as we desire them to but as the late Louise Hay has said and shown through her own life of battling cancer, prayer and self-love are tonics that always adds to our strength,
Since uncertainty is always a part of the dynamics of life so we cannot always predict all that can happen to us. What we do have control over is our own attitude no matter what is happening around us. This is possible only through faith, an inbuilt inner power we are blessed with. With this faith, we can remain a superman/woman always.
