KNOW YOUR PSYCHIC CHANNELS
In this post, I am going to tell you the eight extra channels that carry your genetic blueprint or DNA support. These channels run very deep and supply the 12 regular channels with energy and blood. These channels don’t have their points but borrow points from other channels except the two central channels which have their points and all the energy chakras are situated on the central channels. The eight extra channels each have an opening point on hand and feet through which a practitioner by acupuncture or pressure mimics the microcosmic energy cycle inside the human body.
The flow of energy in these eight channels flows in a state that can be compared to the sign of infinity or 8. In Chinese medicine, these channels are seen as constitutional channels representing the link between prenatal(inherited) energies and postnatal(acquired) energies. Eight extra channels help the different stages of growth and development in life from embryological development to fertility and conception. The prenatal energy in the eight extra channels consists of the parent's essence called jing, the embryo’s source energy and the ancestral energy or zhong energy also known as cosmic energy.
Let's discuss the functions of these eight extra channels or psychic channels.
THE GREAT REGULATOR CHANNEL –
The yin wei mai channel or yin linking vessel makes a pair with chong mai channels and has opening points Spleen.4(foot) and pericardium.6(above wrist). This channel pair relates more to the relationship between kidneys, spleen, and heart, and the emotions of fear, worry, and anxiety. It can treat female reproductive problems related to exhaustion and depression, poor peripheral circulation, and muscular weakness or atrophy. This point combination can be used for reproduction, circulation, digestive problems, muscular strength, and emotional imbalance. The person feels weakness, vulnerability, and depression along with insecurity, fear, worry, and anxiety. SP.4 + PC.6 can be used for exhaustion related to weak constitution and weak digestion. This can be linked with emaciation, muscle atrophy, muscle weakness, or poor muscle tone in a patient who is easily tired and inability to absorb nourishment from food due to weak digestion. This pair can treat problems of sharing or communication of affection in relationships. If this combination is paired with CV.4 acupoint it can calm the fear and stabilize emotions. If paired with a CV.12 It can regulate the spleen and calm worry and if paired with CV.14 it can treat fear, anxiety, and worry. To clear the mind yin tang is added, and for regulating blood and energy to stabilize emotions when ST.36 acupoint is added.
The Yang wei mai or yang linking channel is paired with the Dai mai or belt channel and it controls the sides of the body, head, arms and legs, and also external genitals. This pair can regulate the physiological and emotional aspects of the menstrual cycle. Migraine, dizziness, and lack of confidence can be treated successfully. Lateral headache, high blood pressure, pains down the side of the body, and aggressive and maniacal behavior.
THE GREAT BRIDGE CHANNEL-
YIN QIAO MAI OR YIN HEEL CHANNEL is paired with the CV channel. This pair controls the front of the body, the abdomen, and the chest, especially the uterus, kidneys, and lungs, and can be used to treat reproduction, water metabolism, lungs, and emotional imbalance. This pair can treat amenorrhoea, infertility, habitual abortion, and lack of sexual interest related to exhaustion and depression. Oedema, urinary incontinence, and incomplete urination due to prostatitis. This pair can also treat shortness of breath, weak cough, and asthma. The extra channels are connected to the cycles of change in the lives of women and men. The CV channel plays an important role in the changes in the lives of women that come with puberty, motherhood, and menopause. If the energy goes down in the CV channel there will be an absence of periods, infertility, abortion, postnatal exhaustion, and menopausal syndrome. There might not be sufficient energy for the woman to deal with psychological changes at times of changes and she may become unable to cope with her new role which gives rise to depression and low self-esteem. This pair type of constitution can make a person participate actively in life due to sufficient energy but the fear of pain of loss and being alone might suppress grief and hold on to past conflicts instead of letting go and allowing herself to the flow of life. This suppression and holding on to the past may obstruct the flow of the energy in the chest and reproductive organs causing not only diseases such as asthma and painful menses along with lumps in the breast and uterine fibroids, breast cancer, uterine and cervical cancer also. Resentment and fear at times of major changes in life in a woman can block her energy. Painful menses or pain in pregnancy may be linked with fear of loss of control, apprehension, and fear of giving part of femininity to the newborn child or her partner. Fear of aging, loss of femininity, and fear of being not attractive can stagnate the energies and produce irregular menstruation and menopausal irregularities. This perception is aggravated by modern society by giving importance to beauty and youth in women. The opening point for this pair is Lung.7(above the wrist) and kidney.6(above heel) and you can google it for proper location.
The YANG QIAO MAI or YANG HEEL CHANNEL is paired with the GV channel. Opening points for this pair are UB.62(above heel lateral side) and SI.3(hand below lateral side of little finger), please google it for location. This pair treats problems related to the back of the body which include Multiple Sclerosis, Ankylosing spondylitis, ALS, Transverse myelitis, weakness, and degeneration of the spinal nerves and the areas they control. Weakness of the bones, joints, and muscles of the neck, back, and knees with deterioration of vision, hearing, memory, and mental clarity. There is degeneration of mental, physical, or sexual energy. This pair can help that person who has blocked themselves by rigidity and stiffness due to fear of loss of control. The stress that builds up while trying to hold up and control every aspect of life. Anger plays an important role leading to illness. Overstimulation of the heart and nervous system by excitement or anxiety can disrupt the heart's energy and spirit leading to disturbed mind and emotions. Signs and symptoms may be restlessness, insomnia, convulsions, panic attacks, mania, delirium, mental confusion, dizziness, disorientation, feeling alienated, and extreme mood swings.
All these channels can address you as a whole covering every aspect of an individual life.
