Build a relationship with love
We all wish to have love in our lives and we can definitely say this comes only with healthy relationships be it with our family, friends or colleagues.
We suggest the following principles to build such relationships or bonds
Be completely present
A gripe children often have of their their parents is ‘you are never present when I need you’. Parents then just take them to various classes but this will not get addressed unless the core issue of being present in addressed and resolved. This is true for all relationships. Being present sounds simple but we often forget this principle in life. We are so caught up in the struggles of daily life that we forget to be present, especially to our partner and children. This is something we need to do..
Give some time
We need to give importance to our relationships and allot time to it. We need to keep asking our loved ones how they are doing to make them feel better. We need to do this regularly.
Communicate.
Communication is the key to good relationships. Don’t stop yourself from saying what you need to openly and honestly with your loved ones, This needs to be done with respect and empathy on both sides.
Don’t be complacent
Don’t take anything for granted. Give importance to your relationship and work on making your relationship better all the time. This is applicable for all kinds of relationships, beginning with family, friends and co workers . Just like a plant, relationships need nurturing. This is indeed very important in all relationships for most relations die when they are not tended to.
Keep your relationship fresh.
This is again true for all relationships as the same old pattern does make the relationship staid and boring. This is probably why even companies now have a weekend out together where there is a different type of connection with teammates.
Connect physically.
This is not true only for romantic relationships though we keep thinking of physicality only with romance. In this context. I remember the movie Munnabhai MBBS where hugging or what was called Jadu ki Jhappi became a key to even wellness and good health. We do know that a mother knows how her child stops crying with just a simple touch so yes, physical touch is indeed important always.
Relationships are essentially the benchmark of life itself. There is no point in adding value materially when it does not make a difference to anyone in life. This is why we need to work on all our relationships all through our lives. This will make not just the other person happy but ourselves too. We often do not give this enough importance and hence end up lonely even in a crowd. This is in fact, a disease only we can set right.
Following the above simple tips shall indeed make this possible and doable in our lives. Let us begin doing so from now onwards even if we have neglected it earlier. As a simple adage says. “It is never too late to do anything in life"
